CAD (Motor Mount)

We're going to need a motor mount for our robot so we will use Solidworks and our 3d printers to make a piece!

Here is the 2d side view of our part which we will make in sketch. (Disregard the line in the middle, we will delete it later)

The first thing we're going to do is create a new part. Then, in the bottom right hand corner, change the untis system to MMGS (the metric system).

Next, we're going to create a sketch. Most parts are created by drawing a 2D sketch and then extruding or "pushing" it into 3D.

Next, select one of the planes. For this part, it doesn't especially matter which plane to select and the picture below shows the top plane.

Next, select the line option to create our desired shape.

Draw in general the shape below. You can either dimension the segments before or after using the smart dimension tool.

Extrude out 15 mm.

The circles are 3.5 mm in diameter. (1.75 mm)

Create fillets of between 1.5 and 3 mm.
