We're going to solder joysticks and also create the wire.
First, cut a piece of the 10-wire wide ribbon cable to how long you want your controller to be. Next, set up a clamp so and place the connect inbetween.
Align the wire so that the metal pins align in between each of the wires. Be careful! If you clamp it and the wires are slightly angled, the connector will be very difficult to take off and will have to be replaced.
After you've clamped one side, strip a small portion of the other wires to ensure that the connections are there.
Place a long header pin on the breadboard and connect ground to ground, vcc to 3.3 volts (NOT 5 VOLTS) and the x-axis and y-axis to analog ports that have not been used.
