Steps to reproduce

Run; lvim "File"

Expected behaviour

Normal Lunarvim opening file.

Apologies if the errors are simply produced from my side
I just re-installed nixos for casual cleanup and since then lunarvim didnt seem to work.
I deleted .config/ and .local of lvim in both root and user directory
but the error seems to persist,
This is just my guess but maybe the updates from neovim and others might have broken it

tbh no..
I tried and tested in my arch with nix as well, and lvim there has the issue as well

I'm experiencing this error and a related one when opening .cpp files. Lunarvim is only stable against neovim 0.9.5. There's an open ticket to update the neovim dependency, no timeline to fix. last update to main was rougly a year ago.

There was a neovim version bump in nix 25.05.

Might be time to jump to a different vim distro.

Yea, no one is maintaining Lunarvim anymore.
Only solutions I see is to downgrade nvim, or better yet, make your own nvim config.
The next best drop-in replacement for LV that I've found is AstroNvim. Still actively maintained, last commit and release was 3 days ago at the time of posting this.

I think it's better to remove lunarvim from NixOS in the long run and flag it as broken in the short run.
