Should I disable absorption while conducting intravenous simulation but I also want to consider enterohepatic circulation of the parent drug

I am trying to build a mouse model for drug administered intravenously undergoing enterohepatic circulation. should i take into account absorption phase to model re absorption of the drug in intestinal lumen or is there an alternative to account for re absorption in mice during EHC?

My second question is that : is it ok to disable gallbladder emptying for enterohepatic circulation in mice as this paper did https://doi.org/10.1016%2Fj.isci.2023.107922 . The fact that mice are eating continuously and also that bile is stored momentarily in gallbladder , it could be a better option to avoid the complex dynamics of gallbladder but I would like to request expert opinion on this forum as well.
