Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini v1.0.3
This update fixes the long-session slowdown reported in #1 and includes the latest runtime and renderer work.
NOTE: IT OVERCLOCKS YOUR MIYOO MINI DURING THE GAME, READ THE RELEASE NOTES.
Changes
- Fixes a map loading bug that kept many copied tiles in memory and could eventually make the game slow down or freeze.
- Removes duplicate collision tiles while locations load.
- Reuses more converted tile and sprite data between frames, reducing software rendering work.
- Uses 1600 MHz on Miyoo Mini and 1800 MHz on Mini Plus while the game is running, then restores the previous clock when it exits.
- Updates the setup app and preparation scripts for the new runtime.
The runtime changed, so existing setups should prepare a new package and merge its
Romsfolder with the existing SD card contents. Do not delete yoursavedatafolder.
Supported game versions (unchanged)
1.6.14.24317compatibility build1.6.15.24356compatibility build
Install
Download the setup app for your computer and follow the steps. Copy the finished Roms folder to the root of an OnionOS SD card.
Known issue
- Screen tearing
- Performance can also vary by save and location, so the runtime is still being worked on.

Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini v1.0.2
This update fixes some setup problems reported; #1 #2
Changes
- Accepts supported compatibility game files from Steam and DepotDownloader (we were rejecting harmless extra files before)
- Fixes Steam Mobile QR codes on Windows (fy microsoft for being a pain in the ass to work with).
- Make WSL, Mono and Docker guidance simpler and clearer, hopefully.
- Fixes AppImage startup failures caused by bundled Wayland libraries.
- Reports whether the executable, xTile library or Content folder is unsupported or incomplete rather than a generic incompatible error.
The game runtime is unchanged from v1.0.1, so if you already got it working there is no need to do it again with the updated setup app.
Supported game versions (unchanged)
- 1.6.14.24317 compatibility build
- 1.6.15.24356 compatibility build
Install
Download the setup app for your computer and follow its prompts. The finished Roms folder goes on the root of an OnionOS SD card.
Windows setup uses WSL with Mono 6 and Docker Desktop's WSL integration. macOS and Linux use Mono 6 and Docker directly.
Known issue
Some larger saves can exceed the Miyoo Mini's available memory aand result in slowdowns an OOM crashes. This release does not yet fix that runtime issue, but I am looking into it. The biggest save file I have tested is in year 2, with a medium sized farm is that helps.

Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini v1.0.1
Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini and Miyoo Mini Plus running OnionOS.
The setup app can sign in to Steam, download a supported compatibility build and prepare the files for your SD card. Manual setup is also available in the port archive.
Supported Stardew Valley builds:
1.6.15.243561.6.14.24317
Stardew Valley is not included. You must own the game on Steam. (GOG is not tested)
The setup app requires Mono 6 and Docker. Windows users also need WSL. After preparation, copy the generated Roms folder to the root of your OnionOS SD card.
Use the .exe on Windows, the matching .dmg on macOS, or an AppImage on Linux. Debian and Ubuntu users can use the .deb packages.
The desktop apps are currently unsigned, so Windows or macOS may show a security warning. Feel free to compile from source if you feel uncomfortable running it.
Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini v1.0.0
First public (experimental) release of Stardew Valley for Miyoo Mini running OnionOS.
This build uses the native framebuffer renderer and includes controls, audio, save support, and the performance configuration tested on the original Miyoo Mini (V4). I haven't tested this on the Miyoo Mini Plus or the Mini Flip so you may run into issues.
Stardew Valley is not included. Version 1.6.14.24317 is the only supported game build for this release.
Download the archive, extract it, and follow the README inside it to download the exact Steam depot and prepare the OnionOS package.
The Miyoo Mini doesn't have the resources to do the setup/patching process on device, so we will spare this little doodad and do the initial setup/preparation on a computer before moving the port to the MM. This is done via the prepare.sh script, which is explained in more detail in the README.md.
The setup may be a bit daunting for some, I am working on making this easier but for now I would recommend to really read the instructions carefully and provide the errors/logs in a GitHub issue if run into any issues.
