Querying a CSV

This page describes an alternate workflow for using the PMET program. Instead of providing the program with a photo set, you can manually type out a CSV populated with the terms to query.

Why you might want to query a CSV

Several reasons might make manually typing a CSV a better option than processing photos. These include but are not limited to: it's faster to type the query term than take photos of it, unable to download the machine learning model which is required for processing the photos, or being unable to take photos of the query term.

Specifications for making the CSV

The file is easiest to be made as a .xls or .xlsx and then saved as a CSV so that it is more machine-readable. The name of the column containing the term to search by should match the name of the profile within the program, the default profile is 'SuDoc'.

Example CSV
