Solid AIC Region

Info

AIC Regions are massive borders in the map that determines at which area of the map you are interacting with the AIC System. This is part of the main grid/chunk system that the devs use to segment one region from another in terms of loading, protocol, and zipline limits.

While these borders technically do get rendered, they only appear close to other objects and can be difficult to see. This feature makes them more solid and forces the whole border to render instead of just small lines near intersecting objects.

Note: In pre-1.4 regions, these borders can be used to determine eviction zones as going beyond them without entering another region will typically start the 3 second timer. However, starting from North Wuling Exclusion Zone, the devs have started to not align the border and eviction zones anymore, so you may encounter eviction zones early without even going beyond the border.

Fun Fact: This feature was made for the 1.1-1.2 era where there used to be a bug dubbed "Airplane" which would let you noclip and fly. It existed to prevent accidentally walking into eviction zones as reorienting the player with that bug can be challenging.
