Ethical Issues

Privacy Concerns

• The only sensitive data that will be stored is screen time analytics, email, username, and password. The user data will be stored on firebase which is "certified under major privacy and security standards" and is ISO and SOC compliant. User login will be handled by firebase authentication services which meets the same security standards.

Discrimination Concerns

• I don't think that the app we are building could be used in any sort of discrimination because there is no user to user interaction.

Abuse Concerns

• Again, there is no user to user interaction so I don't think someone would be able to cause much harm by misusing our app. One concern with the automatic version of our app is if somehow an attacker were to gain access to a users time settings and set all time limits to 0, they could restrict the users use of their computer.
