Modding Best Practices OE (bgm.cpk)

You do not need to repack entire bgm.cpk to mod it anymore.

  1. Unpack the CPK file
  2. Reference this document to find what you want to edit (or if you are advanced modder, it will also be logged at allfilespath.txt)
  3. Create a stream folder in your mod (MyMod/stream)
  4. Rename your numeric file to the appopriate one accordingly to the document above
  5. For example, to mod the main menu theme of Yakuza 0, you'd rename 0413 (its sound number) to system_title_bgm.hca which means you would have MyMod/stream/system_title_bgm.hca in your mod files.
