EN Custom Rules Guide
When built-in rules do not meet your needs, or the target website has tightened its firewall policies, you can manually optimize rules using these steps.
Note
When a subscription is active, its rules load and the built-in rules are hidden. The rule optimization below targets custom rules in the "Rules" panel; to route subscription traffic through a specific mode, add a separate rule for domains the subscription does not cover.
Before adjusting rules, it is recommended to visit ITDog Website Ping, enter the target domain, and check international (especially US, HK) resolution results.
If the resolved IP belongs to Cloudflare CDN:
- Optimization Strategy: Use ECH (Encrypted Client Hello).
- Action: In the FlowWeaver rule edit interface, find the ECH page and one-click add to the rule.
If the resolution result is a fixed IP:
- Optimization Strategy: Manually specify the upstream IP and combine with SNI modification.
-
Action:
- Get the overseas IP.
- In Rule settings, fill the IP into the "Upstream Address" field.
- Use MITM mode and modify the SNI for access.
If the target website has disabled Domain Fronting:
- Solution: Switch to TLS-RF (TLS Fragmentation).
If the target site supports QUIC (confirm via https://http3check.net/):
- Solution: Switch to QUIC Direct mode.
- Advantage: QUIC has natural anti-interference characteristics and reconnection mechanisms, providing a more stable connection experience.
If the target site's IPs are strictly blocked, or the modes above all fail:
- Solution: Point the domain to an available proxy group / node in the subscription rules, or fill a working exit into the rule's "Upstream Address".
Tip
Rule adjustments take effect in real-time after clicking "Save Config". No software restart is required. CLI users can manage site-group rules with sites list|show|add|update|delete (add / update accept JSON).
