GUI Configuration Guide

Almost all FlowWeaver features can be operated directly in the GUI without editing configuration files. The interface has 11 pages: Dashboard, Subscription, Proxies, Rules, Routing, DNS, Evolution, Logs, Settings, About, Welcome.

1. Dashboard

  • Start Proxy: Starts the local HTTP + SOCKS5 mixed-port proxy.
  • System Proxy: When enabled, FlowWeaver automatically sets the system HTTP/HTTPS proxy.

2. Subscription and Node Selection

  • Subscription page: Paste a Clash subscription link to import; once activated, its nodes, proxy groups and routing rules load automatically, and the built-in rules are hidden.
  • Proxies page: A Clash Verge-style node list — select nodes per proxy group. Supports ss (AEAD-2022), vmess, vless, trojan, tuic, hysteria2, wireguard, socks5, http; every protocol except http supports UDP.

3. Rule Management

When adding a domain in "Rule Settings":

  • Default Wildcard: You can enter just one domain (e.g., pixiv.net) — the system matches by suffix, automatically covering related sites like www.pixiv.net.
  • Intelligent Priority System: FlowWeaver has built-in matching weights, in this order:
    1. Exact Match (Highest): e.g., google.com.
    2. Regex Match: starts with ~ (e.g., ~.*google.*).
    3. Suffix/Wildcard Match: the longer the domain, the higher the weight. The system automatically picks the most precise rule, so you never have to worry about rule conflicts.
  • Upstream Address: each rule can specify an upstream IP (DIRECT means a direct outbound).

4. Fake SNI One-Click Generation

In the rule edit dialog, click the "Generate Fake SNI" button:

  • Function: Automatically converts a.b.c to a-b-c.mapped.
  • Principle: Bypasses the GFW's SNI blacklist blocking by transforming the SNI string.

5. ECH Configuration

  • ECH Mapping: Automatically fetches and stores the echconfig (public name, HPKE config) for target domains.
  • Bootstrap ECH: When enabled, the software uses built-in DoH to query ECH records for unknown domains.

6. Cloudflare IP Pool

Enable "Auto-update optimized IPs" in "Settings":

  • Dynamic Monitoring: FlowWeaver periodically pulls the lowest-latency, lowest-loss edge nodes from built-in IP sources.
  • Adaptive Switching: When an IP degrades, the tool automatically switches to another one to keep connections stable.

7. DNS Resolution Strategy

Assign a specific DNS resolution mode per rule:

  • prefer_ipv4 / prefer_ipv6: default resolution strategies.
  • ipv4_only / ipv6_only: specific benefits in IPv6-only or certain dual-stack environments.

8. First-Launch Tutorial

  • After selecting the language on first launch, a spotlight tutorial highlights the real UI elements: you actually click the "Start Proxy" and "System Proxy" buttons and are guided past subscription import, node selection, and the TUN settings.
  • Once finished (or skipped), a flag is written to the registry at HKCU\Software\FlowWeaver (tutorial_done), so the tutorial does not reappear after an app update.
  • To replay it later: Settings → General → Getting Started → Replay Tutorial. For advanced topics, keep reading this Wiki.

Note

After GUI operations, make sure to click "Save Config" — changes take effect immediately without restarting. All GUI changes are written to the configuration files automatically.
