MITM and QUIC modes require a local trust root certificate to decrypt HTTPS traffic and modify the SNI before re-encrypting.
- Launch FlowWeaver.
- In the main interface, find the "Certificate Management" tab or button.
- Click "Click to Reinstall Certificate".
- The system will prompt for administrative privileges to install the certificate into the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" store.
You can verify the installation by checking:
-
certmgr.msc-> Trusted Root Certification Authorities -> Certificates. Look for "FlowWeaver CA".
CLI users can also run flowweaver ca status to check the installation state, and flowweaver ca install to install (admin / root required).
Warning
Privacy Note: The root certificate is only used locally to decrypt traffic for matching domains. Your data is not uploaded.
Clean Up: If you stop using FlowWeaver, manually remove the "FlowWeaver CA" from your system store, or run flowweaver ca uninstall.
