SpaceCorps 2027 0.4.16
SpaceCorps 2027 0.4.16 is the clans and ships update: clans get a page, posts, a daily bonus and wars that end by consent, ranks become fixed places with a gold crown, crafting makes batches, and your crafted ships turn grey, wear Hull Plating and convert into thirteen designs with abilities of their own. Clans now belong to a world, and the next Wipe disbands every clan.
The game plays on the public server https://spacecorps-game.sliplane.app. Your pilot, ships, items, credits and world carry over. Your clan carries over until the next Wipe (see below).

What's new
Highlights
- Clans: a Clan Page any pilot can open, Management (the old Admin tab) with requirements, a Discord link and a description, posts, a Who is online window (key H), wars that end only when the other clan agrees, a daily bonus from the Fleet Treasury and a Log tab.
- Ranks are fixed places in each company: Senior Admiral needs 50,000 PvE points and has 1 place, down to Junior General at 25,000 with 15. The pilot with the most PvE points on the server wears a gold crown.
- Crafting makes batches: x5, x10 or Max of a recipe is one entry in the one Production Queue, with one timer and one Collect.
- Clan Wardens call reinforcements (a wave every minute, three at most) and pay three times as much; Brood Warden III has half the hull and shield. Challenges pay by a rate card, at most 100,000 Thulium a claim and exactly five times the experience.
- Shield penetration has no cap any more, and the Ship window shows the total your next laser hit starts from.
- Ships: the four crafted ships are grey, and Hull Plating I to III goes into hull plate slots (Paragon 5, Storm 7, Ironclad 15, Wraith 9), each opened by research.
- Thirteen designs (THUNDER, BUCKY, LICH, NOTSUM, BRATAN, RECON, DUMA, TITANIC, RAPTOR, BILLY, MENATI, ATARAXIS and MATT) change what a ship does: convert one of your ships in the Assembly (it cannot be undone). Seven abilities (Blink, Chameleon, Focus Fire, Venom, Diminisher, Heal Pod and Shield Buff) sit on the F key. Every new action has its own quiet sound.
If you already play: what changes for you
- The next Wipe disbands every clan, and its Fleet Treasury is lost. A clan now belongs to a world and goes with the Wipe at the end of the 30-day season. Until then the Leader and Co-Leaders can pay the treasury out to the pilots, within each pilot's daily payout limit. Credits already paid out stay with the pilot. The Wipe countdown reminds the clan members who are online.
- Update the game. A 0.4.12, 0.4.13, 0.4.14 or 0.4.15 game installs it as a patch, and downloads the whole package if the patch cannot be used. A 0.4.11 or older game downloads the whole package.
- Your clan keeps working until the Wipe. It gets the world of its Leader. Members who fly in another world stay, but a clan takes only pilots of its own world from now on.
- Everyone's rank is worked out again at the first start. It can rise or fall. A pilot who rises is told once ("Promoted") at the next join; a rank that falls is lowered quietly. The Company page shows yours.
- Challenges you started pay the new numbers when you claim them; the ones you claimed stay claimed. A craft under way goes on.
- Your ships turn grey and keep every fitting. The hull plate slots start locked: each one is a Skylab technology of 1 hour and 10 Dark Matter. Hull Plating I is in the Shop for 5,000 Thulium.
- A 0.4.15 game keeps working but shows none of the new features, and a war can no longer be replaced by an alliance or a pact.
Clans: the Clan Page and Management
- The Clan Page. Click a clan's name in the Find list, in the leaderboards or on a pilot's profile (or Preview in Management) to read about any clan: its Leader, level and pilots, its world, the Experience, Honor and PvE and PvP ranking points of its pilots added up, what it asks of new pilots, its Discord link and description, and its active boosters. It never shows the roster, the treasury or the applications.
- Requirements. Leaders and Co-Leaders set a minimum level (1 to 21) and a minimum company rank (Pilot, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, General or Admiral; a rank counts from its lowest grade, so Captain takes a Junior Captain and above). The Find list marks what you lack and disables Apply and Join with the reason. An officer's invitation skips the requirements.
- Description and Discord. A description of up to 200 characters and a Discord invite link; only discord.gg and discord.com/invite links are accepted, and the game opens nothing else.
- Bigger clans: 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100 pilots at levels 1 to 5 (level 1 held 10). Management also has a table of the five levels with their prices; only the Leader upgrades, paying from the Fleet Treasury.
- Thulium Treasury. A pill in the clan header and in Management: a counter kept for a later update. Nothing pays into it yet.
Clans: people
- Posts. The Leader and Co-Leaders write posts of up to 200 characters, one every 10 seconds each and 20 alive at most. Members read them in the new Posts tab and get a toast for a new one; the author and the officers can delete a post. A link is refused.
- Map column. The Members list shows the sector and the world of each clan mate who is online. A docked pilot counts as offline.
- Who is online. A button at the top right (key H) opens a window with the pilots of your world: rank, company, clan tag, name and level, a search box and an Invite button that sends a Group invitation. It refreshes every 10 seconds and lists up to 100 pilots. A pilot who is cloaked from you is not listed.
Clans: diplomacy, the daily bonus and the log
- Wars end by consent. The Leader or a Co-Leader asks the other clan for peace; the other clan accepts or declines, and a decline means a wait of 1 hour before asking again. A request lasts 24 hours and you can take it back. A war is no longer replaced by an alliance or a pact, but you can still declare war over one. An alliance and a pact can be cancelled or switched into each other at once, and the officers of the other clan hear of it.
- Daily bonus. The Leader sets an amount for each clan rank (Pilot, Elder, Co-Leader, Leader): 0 is off, otherwise 1,000 to 1,000,000 Credits. It is paid once a day from the Fleet Treasury at a member's first check that day, to members who have been in the clan for at least 24 hours. When the treasury is short that member gets nothing that day.
- Log. A new tab for members with the last 200 events in your own language: every clan quest step with the pilots who took part (even a single pilot), the treasury, the roster, ranks and diplomacy.
Clans: worlds and the Wipe
- A clan belongs to one world, the world of the pilot who founded it. You can only find, join, rank, invite and make treaties with clans of the world you fly in, and the Find list and both leaderboards show only those. A pilot who has not chosen a world cannot found or join a clan yet. The Clan Page names the clan's world.
- The Wipe disbands every clan. The clan, its roster, Fleet Treasury, posts, log, requirements, daily bonus, points, boosters, treaties and Wardens are gone. What stays: the Credits already paid out to you, and your own daily donation record (a Wipe is not a second allowance). Pay the treasury out before it comes.
- Existing clans. A clan gets the world of its Leader. A member who flies in another world stays until the Wipe but cannot be added again once he leaves; a treaty or war across worlds stands and can be ended, but none can be made.
Ranking
- A rank is the highest one you reach and have room in. Each company has a fixed number of places for its six best ranks:
| Rank | Places in a company | PvE points needed |
|---|---|---|
| Senior Admiral | 1 | 50,000 |
| Admiral | 2 | 45,000 |
| Junior Admiral | 4 | 40,000 |
| Senior General | 8 | 30,000 |
| General | 10 | 27,500 |
| Junior General | 15 | 25,000 |
- Below Junior General the minimums step down by 2,500 a rank, from Senior Colonel at 22,500 to Junior Captain at 2,500, with no limit on places. The nine lowest ranks keep their old minimums (0 to 1,900).
- Equal points are the same rank. A pilot with 29,000 and one with 28,000 are both Generals; a tie at the edge of a limited rank takes the better rank. A pilot who has been away for 30 days holds no place.
- A gold crown stands over the rank symbol of the pilot (or pilots, if tied) with the most PvE points on the whole server: on name tags, in chat, in the kill feed, in the group list, in the Hall of Fame and on profiles.
- The Company page's All ranks table now shows the places, how many pilots hold each rank and the points each needs.
Crafting
- One queue, and batches. On a recipe card pick x1, x5, x10 or Max (as many as you can pay for, up to 25). A batch is one entry in the Production Queue with one timer (the recipe's time for each copy) and one Collect that hands out everything. It is paid in full up front, all or none, and each piece of equipment rolls its enchant tier on its own. Ships, Extra Slots CPUs and upgrades are still made one at a time.
- Collect all. A button in the Production Queue when two or more crafts are finished. A queue holds 100 entries; a batch counts as one.
Wardens and Challenges
- Brood Warden III is easier: half the hull (2,650,000) and half the shield (2,175,000), and its drones mend half as much and come every 16 seconds instead of 8. The other eight Wardens keep their strength.
- Reinforcements. Once a Warden is armed, a wave of the sector's aliens arrives every minute, up to three waves alive at once: 5 Phantasm in x-2, 10 Phantasm in x-3, 10 Bulwarks in x-4. They are ordinary aliens that anyone can shoot; they stop coming when the Warden is gone. The clan hears of each wave in chat and the Game Log.
- Warden kills pay three times as much: Credits, Thulium, experience, honor and the laser ammo in the loot box. A Brood Warden III now pays 7,200,000 Credits and 36,000 Thulium (2,400,000 and 12,000 before).
- Challenges pay by a rate card. One kill pays at least what it paid in tier I, and each tier adds 10% more per kill, in Credits and Thulium. Bulwark Storm (400 Bulwarks) goes from 9,405 to 57,450 Thulium.
- A ceiling of 100,000 Thulium a claim. Ten of the biggest hunts (Goombah Scourge, Bulwark Blight, Goombah Rout, Bulwark Sea, Ten Thousand Seekers, Ten Thousand Phantasm, Goombah Legion, Crystalys Reign, Pirate Throne and Warden of the Line) pay exactly 100,000, with their Credits and items scaled down together. The ceiling is on the base claim shown in Mission Control: your world's multiplier and your boosters apply on top, as for every quest.
- Experience is exactly five times what it was, in all 50 Challenges (Bulwark Wall: 515,000). Power Cores, Reinforced Hull Plates and Cataclysite grow with the pay; the rare Orvium and Velkonite Reinforced Plates and the Ancient Control Units stay as they were. Nothing pays less than before.
Shield penetration
- No cap. A laser hit used to stop at 50% penetration and a direct rocket at 40%; now every point counts. The laser amps, the drone formation you wear, the ammo you fire and the rocket itself add up, and a shield's share of a hit is its absorbance minus the penetration, never below 0.
- A formation counts from the next volley. The server uses it the moment you pick it.
- The Ship window's Penetration chip adds up what your next laser hit starts from: your amps, the worn formation and the ammo you fire. It changes the moment you pick a formation or an ammo, and its tooltip lists the parts. The Hangar tile shows the amps of the configuration it shows.
Ships: grey, Hull Plating and hull plate slots
- Grey ships. The Paragon, Storm, Ironclad and Wraith, and their designs, are painted in grey, the base for skins later. Engine flames and navigation lights keep their colours. The Hangar, Shop and Assembly show new icons.
- Hull Plating I, II and III add 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 hull to crafted ships. I is in the Shop for 5,000 Thulium; II and III are made in the Assembly from the plate before it (each needs its technology in the Skylab). The Forge takes every plating; the Auction lists II and III but not I.
- Hull plate slots: Paragon 5, Storm 7, Ironclad 15, Wraith 9; a design has its ship's slots. Plating fits only here, from the Hangar's new Hull plates card. Every slot is a technology in the Skylab of 1 hour and 10 Dark Matter (36 in all), each behind the one before; a locked slot says so and a click opens the research.
- Fitting. Plates stay on when you swap configurations (key C). Your hull keeps its fraction when you fit or take off a plate, so a plate never heals and never kills. Four new quiet sounds mark fitting, taking off, unlocking and a locked slot.
Ships: thirteen designs
- Convert a ship into a design from the Assembly's Designs section. You research the design first (10 hours and 10 Dark Matter each), then the ship you own is converted in place, in 10 minutes, with its drones, plates and fittings. It cannot be undone: to get another design or the original ship, craft the ship again. A ship you are flying or a wrecked one cannot be converted, and lasers that no longer have a slot go back to your inventory with their amps and Forge rolls. The ship comes out with full hull and shields.
- A conversion is one job of the Production Queue (never a batch), locks the ship until it is done, finishes by itself (Collect all leaves it alone) and plays its own short sound. A design is never sold in the Shop or listed in the Auction, and a kill of a design pays the same PvP points as a kill of its ship.
- Every design has its own model, the ship with small changes that show what it does, still in grey. BUCKY and TITANIC are drawn a fifth bigger, which also makes them easier to hit. The Hangar shows a DESIGN badge, the Target window and the kill feed a tag.
| Design | Ship | What it changes | Converting |
|---|---|---|---|
| THUNDER | Paragon | -25% base hull, +40 base speed, +1 laser slot | 1,000 Thulium |
| BUCKY | Paragon | +25% base hull, -20 base speed, -1 laser slot, +10% shield absorption, +20% size | 1,000 Thulium |
| LICH | Paragon | +1% shield regeneration a second | 1,000 Thulium |
| NOTSUM | Storm | -20% base hull, +20 base speed, +2% speed, Blink | 7,500 Thulium |
| BRATAN | Storm | -50 base speed, +2 laser slots, -50% shields, +10% shield penetration | 7,500 Thulium |
| RECON | Storm | -20% base hull, +5% speed, -2 laser slots, Chameleon | 7,500 Thulium |
| DUMA | Ironclad | +20% base hull, -20 base speed, -3 laser slots, +10% shield absorption, Focus Fire | 5,000 Thulium |
| TITANIC | Ironclad | +2 laser slots, +1 core slot, +20% shields, +20% size, Blink (1,500 speed) | 19,000 Thulium |
| RAPTOR | Wraith | +1 laser slot, +5% all damage, Venom | 20,500 Thulium |
| BILLY | Wraith | +5% base hull, +10 base speed, +10% shields, Diminisher | 19,500 Thulium |
| MENATI | Wraith | +20% base hull, +20 base speed, +5% shield absorption, Heal Pod | 24,000 Thulium |
| ATARAXIS | Wraith | -1 laser slot, +25% shields, +10% shield absorption, Shield Buff | 21,500 Thulium |
| MATT | Wraith | -10% base hull, +2 laser slots, -20% shields, +10% laser penetration | 13,500 Thulium |
Besides Thulium a conversion takes Ship Fragments, Reinforced Hull Plates and Power Cores (30, 5 and 2 for a Paragon design, 75, 13 and 4 for a Wraith design), an Ancient Control Unit for every design but the Paragon's, and 3 to 8 Dark Matter Plates.
Ships: seven abilities on the F key
- The fourth button. A design with an ability has a fourth button beside the extras button, on the key F (you can rebind it). Each ability has its own effect, sound and tooltip.
| Ability | Design | What it does | Recharge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blink | NOTSUM, TITANIC | 1 second at speed 2,500 (TITANIC 1,500); stops at your order or the edge of the map | 120 s |
| Chameleon | RECON | Other players cannot see you or find you on the radar; your own company sees a ghost. An EMP jams it for 5 s. It ends when you take damage, fire lasers, launch a rocket, pick up a box or enter a safe zone | 60 s after it ends |
| Focus Fire | DUMA | 5 s: every enemy pilot and alien within 1,000 units must lock onto you and cannot attack anyone else. Your groupmates and pilots in a safe zone are skipped | 60 s |
| Venom | RAPTOR | 100,000 hull damage over 30 s to the target you have locked within laser range, a pilot or an alien; shields do not stop it | 120 s |
| Diminisher | BILLY | 10 s: you take a quarter of the damage and deal three quarters | 120 s |
| Heal Pod | MENATI | Drops a pod for 5 s: you, your group and your company mates within 600 units get 10,000 plus 1% of their own maximum hull back every second | 120 s |
| Shield Buff | ATARAXIS | 10 s: your shield capacity is doubled and regenerates 2% of it a second | 120 s |
For administrators and the server
- At the first start: two data steps (
clans-world-v1gives each clan the world of its Leader,ranks-v2lowers the stored rank of a pilot whose rank falls), one new column onClansand two onCraftingJobs, seven new tables with their indexes (the clans' profile, posts, log, the daily bonus's settings and ledger, peace requests and the quest step players), and the seeder adds the Hull Plating and the thirteen designs with their recipes. The backup gate lists them. Two data files are new (CraftingConfig.json,Designs.json) and thirteen change. New routes: the Clan Page, posts, positions, log, bonus, peace, requirements and profile under/api/clan,GET /api/online, and/api/assembly/collect-allandcraft-config. One new client feature string,heal-pods. No new environment variable.
Updating
- From 0.4.15, 0.4.14, 0.4.13 or 0.4.12: the game downloads a patch by itself. Click Restart to Update, or quit the game, and it installs. If a patch cannot be used the game downloads the whole package.
- From 0.2.1 to 0.4.11: the game downloads the whole package. If you installed the game with Hangar, Hangar updates it.
- From 0.2.0: download it once from the download page and replace the old app or folder.
- What the update does to your account: no Credits, Thulium or items are paid, moved or removed. Your clan gets a world, your rank is worked out again and your ships turn grey (all described above).
- A 0.4.16 game on a 0.4.15 server (a private server) plays, but shows none of the new clan windows, designs or abilities.

Graphics need Metal (macOS), DirectX 12 or Vulkan (Windows), or Vulkan (Linux, Mesa 22 or a vendor driver). The game needs 4 GB of RAM at the least and 8 GB is recommended: measured on a Mac for 0.4.6, the game's footprint in flight peaked near 3 GB at Low and near 4 GB at High. It needs 400 MB of free disk space. On computers with 8 GB, Medium or Low uses noticeably less memory than High.
First launch
The builds are not signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, so on a first install your system asks once before it opens the game. Updates the game installs itself don't ask again.
- macOS: open the dmg and drag SpaceCorps 2027 onto Applications.
- macOS 15 and newer: open the app once and click Done. Then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to "SpaceCorps 2027 was blocked".
- macOS 12 to 14: right-click (Control-click) the app, choose Open, then Open again.
- Windows: right-click the zip, choose Extract All, and start
spacecorps2027.exefrom theSpaceCorps 2027folder: the whole game is in that one file. If SmartScreen says it "protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. - Linux: run
chmod +x SpaceCorps2027-linux-x86_64.AppImage, then start it. Or unpack the tar.gz and startSpaceCorps2027/spacecorps2027.
Known limits
- Nothing of this was played over a long session by real players. The clan features, the Warden waves, batch crafting, the designs and the seven abilities were tested with scripts, a real server and a headless game. The Wipe that disbands the clans has not run yet.
- The Wardens' crew sizes come from a model, not from play. In the model the smallest crew that beats a Warden with the gear of its tier is 18 to 26 pilots on x2 ammo and 26 to 38 on x1; with 15 pilots none of the nine is beaten. The reinforcement waves are not in the model, and nobody has fought 30 extra Bulwarks around a Warden.
- The Challenge line pays far more than before. All 50 together: 257.9 million Credits (102.2 million before), 1,745,885 Thulium (766,075) and 33.9 million experience (6.8 million). A pilot at level 3 reaches about level 12 after the whole line, and the Auction gets more Power Cores, Reinforced Hull Plates and Cataclysite from it. A Brood Warden III kill pays 36,000 Thulium. Whether that feels right is for play to say.
- Designs cannot be undone, and the numbers of the thirteen are a design list, not a result of play. Venom deals its 100,000 to aliens as well as to pilots, and nobody has played it yet; it is one number in the data. The thirteen models differ only a little from their ships at the default zoom, the Wraith designs least.
- Clans are wiped at the first Wipe after this update, with the treasury in them. The Thulium Treasury is only a counter.
- A Heal Pod, the crown and the new windows need the update; a game that has not updated does not draw them. A Forge step on a plate that is fitted raises the maximum hull without moving the hull, so its share dips by a hair.
- Not in this update: ship skins (the grey ships are their base) and anything for Core 2's four empty seats.
- The patches are still new: by 2026-10-09 the Windows patch of 0.4.15 (from 0.4.14) had been downloaded five times and the other 0.4.15 patches once or not at all. We have not checked each kind on a real machine one by one; the game falls back to the whole package when anything is wrong. This update carries re-painted ships and thirteen new models, so its patches will be bigger than before.
- The new texts in the other languages have not been read by native speakers. Every new or changed sentence of this release in German, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and Simplified Chinese was written by AI. Please tell us what reads wrong.
- The other limits of 0.4.15 and 0.4.14 still stand: the Skylab modules' numbers come from a model, a queued technology that cannot start waits for you, levels 7 and 8 of the asteroid missions send you to the Danger Sectors, and Thulium listings can be very cheap. The builds are unsigned (see above). There is one public game server with limited capacity; it may restart for updates, and your ship is saved when it does.
