v1.0.0
First public release of TLB CARP.
CARP tells you where to release so the load lands on the drop zone. It reads the aircraft
you're actually flying, height, speed, climb and wind, and re-solves several times a
second, so being off plan moves the release point instead of ruining the drop.

What's in it
- Live release point, re-solved continuously rather than looked up.
- Autopilot that intercepts the run-in and flies it with control forces.
- Auto drop with a gate: within 25 m of the line, within 2 degrees of the locked heading,
and no large sideways drift, or it holds and tells you which. - Cargo loading and release, covering CARP's own loading, USAF, ACE and vehicle-in-vehicle.
- Guided cargo (JPADS), where the canopy steers itself onto the DZ after it opens.
- HALO jump run with a computed exit point, broadcast countdown and jumplight.
- A shared drop computer: everyone aboard with a CARP Computer edits the same drop.
Accuracy
Radial error at touchdown, measured on flown drops.
| Unguided C-130J, live wind, 1485 m at ~383 km/h | 19.3 m |
| Unguided C-17, same conditions | 21.1 m |
| Guided cargo, zero wind | 0.76 m |
| Guided cargo, 10 m/s wind | 1.15 m |
| Jump run exit cue | 7 m and 12 m on two flown runs |
Only the C-17 and C-130J are calibrated. Other aircraft fly and drop on the C-17's
numbers, so treat those figures as a best case.
Installing
Unpack @TLB_CARP_System into your Arma 3 folder and load it with CBA_A3 and ACE3. On a
server, load it on the server too: cargo usually belongs to the server, and that's the
machine that performs the release.
Aircrew need a CARP Computer, which is in the Arsenal. Mission makers can turn that
requirement off in Addon Options.
Server admins: copy keys/tlb_carp.bikey into your server's Keys/ folder.
Requires CBA_A3 and ACE3. The USAF mod and Free Fall Off The Ramp are optional.
Documentation is on the wiki.
