Ollama
Ollama is a tool that allows artificial intelligence models to run locally. In this environment, it is used together with Tactigon Shape to enable users to interact with artificial intelligence.
The environment is based on two main components:
- Ollama: manages and runs the AI model locally, making it accessible to applications that need it.
- Tactigon Shape: provides the interface through which users can interact with the model by sending prompts and receiving generated responses.
Ollama offers several advantages when working with artificial intelligence models. It allows models to run locally, reducing the need to send prompts and data to external AI services and providing greater control over the information processed. Once a model has been downloaded, it can be used without relying on a remote AI provider, provided that the local environment is correctly configured. Ollama also supports integration with compatible applications through an API, allowing tools such as Tactigon Shape to communicate with AI models. Finally, it supports different models, giving users the flexibility to choose the one that best suits their needs and the available hardware resources.
Before proceeding, an Ollama instance must be running and accessible. Tactigon Shape must also be configured to connect to the Ollama instance.
For instructions on installing and starting Tactigon Shape, refer to the Tactigon Shape Setup Guide.
Once these prerequisites have been met, you can proceed with configuring and using Ollama within Tactigon Shape.
1. Click Create Shape.
2. Enter the required information to create the new Shape.
3. click Create Shape.
Once Ollama has been configured correctly, the Ollama block will be available in Tactigon Shape and ready to be used.
The following example shows how to use the Ollama block in Tactigon Shape by sending a simple prompt and receiving a response from the AI model.
