Bulk source management

Manage sources in bulk

Available in 2026.10.19. Use the Sources selection toolbar to pause/resume downloads, assign a media profile, or preview a download-cutoff change for several sources.

Select the intended sources

  1. Open Sources and choose the required sort and page.
  2. Check individual sources. Once a selection exists, the selection controls and action toolbar appear.
  3. Use Select page to include all sources on the current page, or clear the selection to start again.
  4. Check the selected count before submitting any action.

Selection works in the table, phone cards and poster grid. It covers the current page, not every source in the library. Paging or sorting clears it. Changing layout retains the selection for the visible page.

Pause or resume downloads

Use the toolbar's Pause or Resume control; its accessible label is Pause selected downloads or Resume selected downloads. Review and accept the confirmation.

  • Pause disables future media downloads and cancels active download jobs, including replacement downloads and quality upgrades. Existing media files are retained.
  • Resume enables downloads for the selected sources. Existing monitoring choices remain unchanged; a disabled source is not silently re-enabled for monitoring.
  • Other sources' jobs and files are untouched by the selection action.

Pausing downloads does not turn off scheduled cutoff/retention cleanup. Use per-video protection when you need to keep an item regardless of those rules.

Assign a media profile

  1. Choose the target Media profile in the selected-source toolbar.
  2. Choose Assign profile and confirm.
  3. Open a selected source to verify its profile.

Existing files remain in place. Future downloads use the selected profile. This action does not rename, move or transcode existing media, and it preserves source monitoring/pause choices.

Preview a download-cutoff change

  1. Enter the Download cutoff with the calendar, a preset or an ISO date such as 2026-10-17. Leave it blank to remove the cutoff.
  2. Choose Preview cutoff.
  3. Review the exact sources, their current dates, the proposed date, downloaded items published before it, and counts eligible for removal or protected from culling.
  4. Choose Confirm cutoff change, or Cancel to leave the dates unchanged.

For a proposed cutoff of October 17, 2026, videos published before October 17 can become eligible for cutoff cleanup. Videos published on October 17 remain within the cutoff. See retention and protection before confirming a change that affects downloads you want to keep.

Confirmation updates dates only: it does not immediately delete files, start downloads, change indexing cutoffs or alter monitoring/pause choices. Normal indexing and cleanup subsequently use the new dates. Moving the cutoff earlier or clearing it can allow older indexed media to download.

Stale selections and failed confirmation

The cutoff preview expires after 15 minutes and is tied to the selected sources and proposed date. If sources were changed or deleted, or a cutoff conflicts with an indexing cutoff, return to Sources and create a fresh preview. Preview counts are a snapshot, not a guarantee of what will exist when cleanup next runs.

Bulk actions reject invalid/stale selections. Source updates in each action are transactional: do not work around a rejected operation by assuming only part of the selection changed. Refresh and review the reported error first.
