Theories Discoveries
The main page for the Theories/Discoveries category has a table that provides an overview of all of the various theories, discoveries and inventions which our website focuses on. Basic descriptions and interesting components are highlighted in this table so as to act as a quick reference on each subject. The five categories include scientific field, discoverer, short description, date developed, and impacts/applications. Each theory/discovery has a link on its name which navigates the user to the page for that specific topic. Additionally, the names of the scientific fields and scientists for each theory/discovery are links that take the user to individual pages for those topics.
By clicking on the column names of the table, the user can sort the table in ascending and descending alphanumeric order based on the content within that column. This provides the user with ease of finding certain topics. This functionality is implemented using a JavaScript
The table is paginated using a J-Query script which defines the displaying of three instances per page.
The individual page for each theory/discovery has a detailed account of the categories which were introduced in the main page. This includes an account of what the theory is, how it developed, who developed it, and what field it is in. Within the account, links occur to the individual pages of the scientist who developed the theory/discovery and to the scientific field it belongs to.
