The front-end of the website is implemented using static HTML, CSS and Javascript. The data of the pages was manually acquired to create the HTML pages. The pages were then styled using Cascading Style Sheets to improve the look and layout of the pages. Javascript was used to create the picture slideshow on the splash page. Additionally, Javascript was used in order to make the tables for Scientific Fields, Scientists and Theories/Discoveries sortable by the column names. We also used Bootstrap's grid feature to position elements on the pages and to ensure they were centered and positioned correctly.
We utilized Flask and Python to implement the back-end of our website. The details of this are explain in the Back End section of the wiki.
