Installation
Marquee ships as a single Docker image with Postgres inside it, so there's one container to run and nothing else to install. Database migrations apply themselves on every start.
You'll need: Docker, and a free TMDb key. A free TheTVDB key is optional and fills in artwork TMDb doesn't have yet.
git clone https://github.com/TimmyAmant/marquee.git
cd marquee
cp .env.local.example .envFill in .env (see Configuration for what each value is),
then:
docker compose up -dThis pulls the prebuilt image — Docker Hub
or ghcr.io/timmyamant/marquee, both amd64 and arm64 — rather than building
locally. Use docker compose up -d --build if you've changed the source.
Open http://<your-server-ip>:3000. The first visit creates the admin
account; there's no public signup after that.
Community Applications (recommended). Open the Apps tab, search
"marquee", install. It's one container — fill in POSTGRES_PASSWORD and the
other fields the template asks for; the rest is pre-filled. The template lives
at unraid-templates/marquee.xml.
Compose Manager. Install the plugin from Community Applications and point
it at this repo's docker-compose.yml. Change APP_PORT in .env first if
3000 is taken.
Pull the new image and recreate the container — on Unraid that's Force Update. Migrations run at startup, and your data stays where it is. Check Releases for what changed.
Marquee is self-hosted and beta — open an issue if something here is wrong or missing.
