Marquee for Mac

A native macOS client, in the same repo under
mac/. SwiftUI, no
browser. It holds no library of its own: everything comes from your server
over the API, so it shows exactly what the website shows.
Requires macOS 15 or later, and a server on 0.22.0 or later.
-
Find your server. Press Search my network and the app scans your local subnet (macOS asks for Local Network permission the first time). Or choose Enter address manually and type
192.168.1.35:3000,tower.local, or a full URL. - Sign in with your normal Marquee username and password. On a brand-new server, the setup form creates the admin account instead.
- That's it. Integrations live on the server — Settings (⌘,) → Integrations edits them in place.
A server older than 0.22.0 shows up in the scan as Update required, because the API it needs doesn't exist there yet.
- The session token is kept in the login Keychain, one per server, so the app stays signed in across launches.
- Marquee → Change Server… moves to a different server. Sign Out revokes only this Mac's token.
- Notification banners and a Dock badge for unread notifications; the server has no push channel, so the app polls once a minute and on activation.
-
marquee://deep links (e.g.marquee://title/movie/603). - Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘1–⌘6 for the sections, ⌘R reload, ⇧⌘R sync now, ⇧⌘E surprise me.
- A light/dark appearance override, independent of the system setting.
