Release list
V0.72.8 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME) - Blender Plugin
RE9
- Improved Shell Fur Depth Color
- Added Secondary Base Color Support
V0.72.6 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME) - Blender Plugin
RE9
- Added parsing and Blender import of RE9’s tertiary UV vertex stream
- Added a third Blender UV layer for RE9 meshes containing tertiary UV data
- Materials using
Use_TertiaryUVnow mapSecondaryBaseColorMapthrough the correct UV layer - Fixed incorrectly pale or white beard materials
- Fixed the related white and patterned eyebrow and eyelash materials
V0.72.5 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
Added
- Added standalone
OcclusionMapsupport, including occlusion intensity and secondary UV selection - Added RE9
DetailMasksupport for character materials - Added RE9
DetailMapArrayandDetailMask_Leathersupport
Improved
- Added support for RE9 detail normal, roughness, and cavity blend properties
- Improved material reconstruction for RE9 character clothing and leather, including Leon's Apocalypse shirt and boots
- Disabled
DetailAlbedoMapcontribution whenUse_DetailAlbedoMapis disabled by the material
Known limitations
- RE9 support remains experimental
- RE9 hair, eyebrow, eyelash and beard shaders are approximations. Hair-specific color variation, occlusion and anisotropic shading are not yet reconstructed accurately
- Some advanced RE9 material effects may still differ visually from the game
V0.72 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
What's Changed
Pragmata Mesh Support
- Added support for importing Pragmata
.mesh.251121828files. - Added
typing2 float16 blend-shape and shape-key support. - Added experimental same-topology export for meshes originally imported with REME.
- Preserved original weight, extra-weight, morph auxiliary, vertex-map and blend-header data during export.
- Added topology validation to prevent exporting remeshed or corrupted meshes.
- Export now rejects multiple morphing submeshes, which are currently unsupported.
- Added Pragmata documentation and automated regression tests.
Known limitations
- Remeshing, retopology, vertex-count changes and vertex-splitting operations are unsupported.
- Weight-paint and vertex-group changes are not written during export.
- Export supports exactly one morphing submesh.
- Export remains experimental and should be verified by re-importing and testing in game.
New Contributors
Full Changelog: V0.71.0...V0.72.0
V0.71 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
Added
- Pragmata retail MESH
.251121828support - Pragmata MDF
.mdf2.51and TEX.tex.251111100support - Pragmata packed and float16 blend-shape decoding
- Pragmata eye-shell transparency handling
- Pragmata NROC hair maps and primary anisotropic hair shading
- Improved Pragmata MPLY cluster parsing
Fixed
- Prevented empty secondary-weight vertex groups
- Kept Pragmata and Resident Evil 9 texture versions separate
- Prevented missing optional hair properties from aborting material import
Known limitations
- Skinned Pragmata MPLY clusters do not reconstruct joint weights yet
- Pragmata hair parallax-coupled unique albedo and secondary hair lobes are not reconstructed
V0.70 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
What's Changed
- RE Asset Browser Integration in #25
Added
- Merged the RE Asset Browser into REME, setup instructions are inside the README
Full Changelog: V0.69.15...V0.70.0
V0.69.15 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
This release reduces the Blender console clutter when importing SF6 Models. This release also marks SF6 models as supported.
Added
- Added Debug Guards to Debug prints to reduce the overall console clutter for SF6 Models
V0.69.14 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
This release improves the StitchMap handling for SF6 Models using StitchMaps
Added
- Added proper Stitch Handler for SF6 models
V0.69.11 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
This release fixes a bug for Street Fighter 6 Models where their Stitch maps are applied, even if the MDF disables it, resulting in incorrect material reconstruction of certain Models.
Fix
- Fixed disabled Stitch Maps being applied for SF6 Models
V0.69.10 RE Mesh Editor Community Maintained (REME)
This release fixes the Monster Hunter Wilds importer since I broke it slightly during the SF6 importer work.
Added
- Added missing MPLY compatibility attributes required by the mesh parser
Fixed
- Fixed MPLY mesh imports failing due to an outdated REMeshMPLY.read() signature
- Fixed secondary-weight importing to check the correct weight buffer
- Fixed MH Wilds shared male/female MDF detection with lowercase character paths
Verification
- Verified ordinary streamed and resident MH Wilds meshes against the full game extraction
- Verified automatic MDF and texture loading using complete character assets
- Identified MPLY positioning as experimental and requiring further visual testing
