The main product focus is FPS and music, with multiple editable profiles in each category and separate routing for chat.
- Functional stereo DSP and file playback.
- Twenty starting profiles rather than two fixed modes.
- Independent Gaming, Music and Chat chains using installed virtual playback inputs.
- Bass, treble, optional low-volume fullness and output-bound personal L/R EQ.
- Windows format inspection and official firmware/support navigation.
- Reproducible Windows build, portable package, signal tests and WPF view rendering.
- Selected VxSound studio layout with independent stereo/left/right EQ controls.
- Persistent audio-file player with pause and seeking.
- Guided 125 Hz–20 kHz listening maps for each ear, with output-rate guards and local storage.
- 32 available frequencies from 40 Hz to 20 kHz; Quick, Standard, Detailed and Custom modes.
- Either ear or both, alternating or grouped order; steady/pulsed tones with two durations and low fixed levels.
- Playback cancellation guards, pause/resume, autosaved progress and individual/uncertain response review.
- Headset history, comparable setup checks, JSON/CSV export and legacy map compatibility.
- Reused WASAPI stream, bounded waveform cache and allocation-free core sample rendering.
- Schema-v4 sound profiles with semantic parametric filters: frequency, gain, Q, type, enabled state and channel target.
- Peak, Low Shelf, High Shelf, High Pass, Low Pass and Notch biquads.
- One authoritative response evaluator shared by plotted response and automatic headroom planning.
- Profile preamp and dense logarithmic left/right headroom analysis with safety margin.
- Parametric WPF editor with per-filter rows, enable/type/frequency/gain/Q/channel editing, add/remove and combined plus individual response curves.
- Research-backed game presets compiled into broad parametric filters while retaining their documented 10-band research/reference values.
- Sample-peak, smoothed RMS, limiter-reduction and clipping diagnostics in the DSP core.
- VxSound rounded line-art audio/navigation icon set using the existing dark theme and purple accent.
Still planned for this area:
- direct drag editing of parametric nodes on the graph;
- undo/redo history and filter reordering;
- optional profile strength/morph control;
- validated true-peak metering and loudness measurements where they provide clear user value;
- separate measured headphone response correction, with source/license/model revision recorded;
- reviewed preference-matching workflows using real headset measurements without uncalibrated diagnostic claims.
- A signed driver exposing VxSound Gaming, Music and Chat independently in Windows and games.
- A driver installer, uninstaller and clear dependency detection.
- Hardware tests for unplug/replug, sleep, sample-rate changes, concurrent game/chat playback, drift and sustained operation.
- Device-specific output selection and reconnect/fallback policies with explicit personal-profile binding.
- Per-channel live buffer/latency diagnostics and reconnection state.
- Linked dynamics, night compression, optional voice ducking and software ChatMix.
- Automatic game-profile rules with priorities, manual override and restoration.
- Tray operation, optional startup and keyboard shortcuts.
- Safer profile-version migration tools and human-readable import diagnostics.
- A processed microphone endpoint with EQ, gate, compressor and deliberate monitoring.
- Vendor-specific firmware-version adapters where documented interfaces exist.
- Exact model/revision matching, comparable version checks, official downloads and package-signature validation before an explicitly requested installation.
- Separate status for headset firmware, dongle/base-station firmware, Windows drivers and vendor applications.
- Preserve “unknown” or “check in vendor tool” when a supported comparison is unavailable.
Proprietary drivers, firmware tools and manufacturer software are not redistributed as part of VxSound without appropriate rights. Firmware flashing follows the manufacturer's supported mechanism.
