There are 3 ways to characterize the porosity profiles used for the simulations.
-
A real porosity profile is given in the "Profiles" sheet of the data file, under the variable name
Porosity. This profile will then be linearly interpolated on the model grid. -
Information to set up porosity profile are present in the "Station" sheet of the input .xls file, in the fomr of three parameters :
-
portop: Porosity below the SWI (considered to be given at the SWI) -
porbot: Porosity at depth (considered as asymptotic value for great depth) -
pora: Exponential decrease rate for the porosity profile
- If none of the above can be provided, porosity will be inferred from the same parameters provided in the "Basic Setup" file (see example for the HAMMOND case ).
