Privacy for Bale Web

Blur chat names, message previews, message text, photos and profile pictures on web.bale.ai until you actually need to read them. Open source, MIT licensed, Chrome and Firefox.

What it hides

• Chat list: conversation names, message previews, and the sender prefix in group previews
• Messages: bubble text, quoted replies, link and document cards
• Sender names in groups
• Photos, video thumbnails, stickers and big emoji
• Profile pictures — in the list, in messages, in the header, in the profile panel
• Optionally, what you are typing

What stays readable on purpose: message timestamps, unread badges and reply counts. Blurring those costs legibility without hiding anything private.

How you get it back

• Hover an element to reveal just that one
• Hold Alt (or Ctrl / Shift) to reveal everything while the key is down
• Alt+Shift+B toggles blurring in every open tab
• Optionally re-blur automatically when the window loses focus or you go idle
