Configuration Reference
Open Settings → Devices & services → Advanced History. The integration has separate Advanced History and More-Info service entries, each with its own configuration cog.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Panel title | Text displayed in the sidebar and panel header. |
| Sidebar icon | Material Design icon used for the sidebar item. |
| Maximum entities | Safety limit for entities resolved from selected targets. |
| Default hours | Initial graph duration before an Energy period is applied. |
| Graph height | Height used for generated graph cards. |
| Include hidden entities | Includes hidden registry entities when resolving area and device targets. |
| Open Show more in Advanced History | Redirects an entity dialog's History link to Advanced History. |
| Graph card module URL | Optional explicit resource URL when automatic card detection fails. |
| Card Defaults | Statistics Graph Chart Card defaults for newly generated charts. |
| Default comparison | Configures disabled, Energy-controlled, previous-period, or previous-year behavior. |
| Administrators only | Restricts the sidebar panel to administrator users. |
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Use Statistics Graph in More Info | Replaces the native graph in entity More Info dialogs. |
| Show chart calendar | Enables the card's built-in date picker, initially in Day mode. |
| Graph card module URL | Optional explicit resource URL when automatic detection fails. |
| More Info Card Defaults | Independent Statistics Graph Chart Card defaults for entity dialogs. |
See More Info Graphs for setup, default YAML and restoration of the native graph.
When Open Show more in Advanced History is enabled, selecting Show more in an entity's History dialog opens Advanced History with that entity as the only target.
If another chart is active, it is saved to chart History before its selections are replaced.
Leave Graph card module URL empty for normal HACS installations. Advanced History checks registered dashboard resources and standard HACS paths automatically.
Set an explicit URL only when the graph card uses a non-standard resource path.
Submitting either config flow reloads the relevant Advanced History frontend configuration. A full Home Assistant restart is normally needed only after initial installation or an update containing Python changes.
