Updating

HACS update

1. Install the available Advanced History update from HACS.
2. Restart Home Assistant when the release contains Python changes.
3. Hard-refresh the browser if it still loads the previous frontend version.

Statistics Graph Chart Card is updated separately through HACS.

Updating from a version before 0.6.0

Versions 0.6.0 and later add a separate More-Info service. After updating:

1. Open Settings → Devices & services → Advanced History.
2. Select Add service.
3. Complete the Set up More-Info form.

New installations add both services automatically. See More Info Graphs.

Manual update

1. Download the new manual archive.
2. Replace /config/custom_components/advanced_history with the updated directory.
3. Restart Home Assistant.
4. Refresh the browser.

Confirm the loaded version

The integration version appears in Home Assistant's integration details. The frontend also writes its loaded version to the browser console.

Advanced History remains in pre-release development until version 1.0.0, so review release notes before updating.
