Commands and Advancements
The /fish command is an operator utility for generating fishing loot without casting a hook.
/fish
/fish <count>

The command requires permission level 2. It selects the loot table for the command sender's current dimension:
- Overworld: the modified vanilla fishing table.
- Nether: the Go Fish Nether table.
- End: the Go Fish End table.
Generated items are added directly to the executing player's inventory. The command is intended for testing, administration, and demonstrations rather than normal survival progression.
Creative operators with permission level 2 bypass the open-water predicate used by rare fishing loot. This makes /fish
useful for testing treasure and crate entries in controlled environments.
Go Fish adds a fishing-focused advancement tree. The current advancement titles and goals are:

| Fresh and Delicious | Make Blackstone Trout Deluxe with cooked Blackstone Trout, Baked Seaweed, and potatoes. |
| Fishing under a Full Moon | Catch all special fish available during a full moon. |
| Stormy Seas | Catch all available weather-themed fish. |
| The Great Golden Lure | Find a Golden Fish while fishing. |
| Galaxy's Revelation | Create Aquatic Astral Stew from a full-moon catch. |
| A Crate from Outer Space | Fish up an Astral Crate under a full moon. |
| Simple Crates | Obtain a Wooden Crate and open it by sneak-using it while looking at air or a block. |
| Crate Upgrades | Obtain an Iron Crate. |
| Fancy Crates | Fish up a Golden Crate. |
| Ultimate Fishing Rewards | Fish up a Diamond Crate. |
| Humble Alternatives | Fish up a Supply Crate. |
The crate advancements form a progression from Wooden to Iron, Golden, and Diamond Crates. Supply Crates branch from the Wooden Crate path, while full-moon and food advancements branch from the main fishing journey.
