Create HUB VCN manually

Steps to Create VCN Manually

Step 1 Create VCN

1. Go to the Network and click on the Virtual Cloud Networks than click on Create VCN

Before Clcik on Create VCN select the correct comparment Hub_network_compartment.

2. Fill the Details as

• VCN Name : hub_manual_vcn

• Create in Comparment : Hub_Network_Compartment

• IPv4 CIDR Block : 10.0.0.0/24

• Click on Crete VCN

After Create VCN we go inside the Newly Created vcn hub_manual_vcn and click on gateway. Here we create gatway for the vcn.

Step 2. Create Gateway

Here we click on Gateway and next we go to Internet Gateways and click on Create Internet Gateway.

Inside Create Internet Gateway

• Name: hub_manual_vcn_ig

• Create in compartment: Hub_Network_Compartment

• Click Create Internet Gateway

Step 3. Create Custom Route Tables

Here we create our custom route table for control traffic as per our term of traffic control.

Click on new created route table and inside the route table click on route rules and click on add route rules

Inside route Rules Add the following rules:

• Target Type: Internet Gateway

• Destination CIDR: 0.0.0.0/0

• Target internet gateway : hub_manual_vcn_ig

4. Create Security List

Go to Security and click on Create security list

Now we add security rules

1. First we add Ingress Rules, to add ingress rules click on add ingress rules

2. Now we add egress rules

Here we allow all traffic 0.0.0.0/0

5. Create Subnet

1. hub public subnet

• Name :- hub_manual_vcn_public_subnet

• Create in compartment : Hub_Network_Compartment

• Subnet type : Regional

• IPv4 CIDR Block : 10.0.0.0/25

• IPv6 Prefixes : route table - hub_manual_vcn_pubsubnet_rt

• Subnet Access : Public subnet

• Security Lists : hub_manual_vcn_sl

2. hub private subnet

• Name :- hub_manual_vcn_private_subnet

• Create in compartment : Hub_Network_Compartment

• Subnet type : Regional

• IPv4 CIDR Block : 10.0.0.128/25

• IPv6 Prefixes : route table - hub_manual_vcn_pubsubnet_rt

• Subnet Access : Private subnet

• Security Lists : hub_manual_vcn_sl

Both Subnet successfully created and configured.

we already assign custom route table and also assign custom security list with subnets in previous steps.

6.now we create a new instance with using our "hub_manual_vcn".

7. Login into the putty application

As we see, we login into the server successfully

8. Now we check connectivity of ip using ping command

ping 129.213.132.138

ping google.com
