R Intro VI: Install Packages

Bioinformatics Core Facility Gothenburg edited this page Sep 4, 2017 · 2 revisions
  • In the following lectures different packages from Bioconductor will be used. Usually packages are installed with the function install.packages(), but not packages from Bioconductor. The easiest way to install a Bioconductor package is to google "install bioconductor" and follow the instructions. Try installing the package limma.

  • To use the limma package you need to load it with the library() function. Both

    library(limma)

    and

    library("limma")

    will do the job.

  • We will not use the limma package until next week, but you can use the help() function or ? to read an introduction about the package.
