Two problems w/ "v4.5.15-ose"

Hey,

since the last update (using v4.5.15-ose) I have the following two problems/errors while syncing w/ my self hosted Nextcloud account and I have no clue why they occurre/how to fix it. – Maybe someone can have a look?

My setup:

• GrapheneOS (Android 16)
  • DAVx⁵ w/ 2 Nextcloud accounts
  • tasks.org app
  • FossifyOrg/Calendar
• Nextcloud Hub 26 Spring (34.0.0)
  • Calendar app
  • Contacts app
  • Tasks app

1. "Local storage error - Content provider threw a runtime exception"

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'long org.dmfs.rfc5545.DateTime.getTimestamp()' on a null object reference

The ics resource (see 316541493387683026_REDACTED.ics) is a recurring task.

2. "Received invalid task from server" ("Ignoring one or more invalid resources")

Caused by: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Error at line 33:Thread was interrupted during recurrence generation

The ics resource (see e43ceea7-7dda-464d-8416-09a2fc693693_REDACTED.ics) is an old (2015/2025) completed (single = not recurring) task.

I'm seeing The "Local storage error" as well. Also a recurring task and with NextCloud backend.

I've uploaded a debug .zip and the offending item. I think I'm only seeing the local storage error.

I'm also on GrapheneOS, forgot to mention that.

I tried the current beta (v4.5.16-beta.1-ose), where the fix #2554 is included. - Thanks for that!
Both error messages are gone, but it seems to me the (Nextcloud) calendar, that threw the "Local storage error", isn't syncing (anymore). I miss all calendar entries and I don't know (but I believe so) if they were missing w/ v4.5.15-ose.

Maybe you can have a look and fix it.(?)

@sokai may I have the same bug. I use Nextcloud 32.0.11 and GrapheneOS. My CalDAV and CardDAV list is empty. I tried with the new beta version (4.5.16-beta.1-ose), v4.5.9, v4.5.14 and same other versions too. But with LineageOS works

Can you switch on verbose logging, click refresh list in the CalDAV/CardDAV list. If the list is still empty please send us the logs by opening a ticket, referencing this thread. davx5.com/support. Thanks!

I have to apologise! – I had (unconsciously) deactivated the problematic calendar at the FossifyOrg/Calendar app.
Now I have (re-)activated it again, synchronised w/ DAVx⁵ (v4.5.16-beta.1-ose) and everything works (again). 🎉
