Emby5 v1.2.5

- Additional playback, series/season and trailer shortcuts; confirmation for whole-series/season watched changes.
- Theme-coloured focus rings and enlargement for Live TV and VOD cards.

Emby5 1.1.0
Emby5 1.1.0 is introducing Emby Live TV integration, a unified IPTV experience, enhanced Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) information, faster channel navigation, expanded subtitle customization, and AV1 direct-play support.
What's New Since 1.0.1
Emby Live TV & Unified IPTV
- Automatically detect Live TV channels from your connected Emby server, including configured TV tuners.
- Combine Emby Live TV and Xtream Codes IPTV channels into the existing IPTV interface.
- Automatically show the IPTV tab when either source provides available channels.
- Hide the IPTV tab when neither source has channels.
- Browse all channels together or filter between Emby Live TV and Xtream sources.
- Preserve existing IPTV categories and custom channel collections.
- Play channels using their respective providers without requiring separate IPTV interfaces.
- Continue using existing Xtream provider credentials under Settings → IPTV.
Emby Live TV uses the tuners and channel sources configured on your Emby server. No additional TV tuner needs to be connected to the PS5.
Electronic Programme Guide (EPG)
Emby5 now integrates programme information from both Emby Live TV and Xtream IPTV sources.
- Display the currently airing programme under Now Playing.
- Display the following scheduled programme under Up Next.
- Show available programme start and end times.
- Display a progress bar indicating how much of the current programme has elapsed.
- Show programme information directly within the IPTV channel interface.
- Display channel name, current programme, upcoming programme, and progress in the top-left corner of the video player when playback controls are visible.
- Automatically retrieve programme information from the respective provider.
EPG information depends on the programme data supplied by your Emby server or IPTV provider.
A full interactive TV-guide grid is not included in this release.
IPTV Search & Navigation
- Press Triangle (△) within IPTV to open channel search.
- Search across all available channels, regardless of Emby, Xtream, or custom category.
- Case-insensitive searching — uppercase and lowercase letters produce the same results.
- Support partial channel names to make finding channels easier.
- Display matching channels without needing to switch categories.
- Press Circle (○) to return to normal channel browsing.
- Hold Up or Down to progressively accelerate channel navigation.
- Scrolling acceleration begins after approximately one second and increases up to 5× speed.
- Releasing the directional button resets scrolling speed.
- Reduced the number of visible channel rows from 12 to 11 to prevent overlapping text and EPG information.
Expanded Subtitle Customization
Additional subtitle customization controls are available during playback under Audio & Subtitles → Customize Subtitles.
- Adjust subtitle font size.
- Change subtitle vertical position.
- Select subtitle text colors: white, yellow, cyan, and green.
- Adjust subtitle background opacity.
- Customize subtitle outlines.
- Adjust subtitle delay in 0.1-second increments, up to ±30 seconds.
- Reset subtitle customization settings to their defaults.
- Save subtitle appearance preferences locally.
Subtitle delay adjustments apply to the current playback session. Appearance customization depends on the selected subtitle format.
AV1 Direct Playback Support
- Added AV1 to Emby5's advertised direct-play video capabilities.
- Configured AV1 direct-play eligibility for streams up to 4K (3840 × 2160), 10-bit, and 30 fps.
- Streams exceeding those limits remain eligible for server transcoding.
- Uses the existing FFmpeg-based playback engine.
Actual AV1 decoding performance depends on the PS5 playback engine and the media being played. Direct-play support does not guarantee that every AV1 file will play without transcoding.

- Existing movies, TV shows, music, and library browsing.
- 31 selectable visual themes, including Glass.
