Installing gogios

As of version 2.2, gogios has builds available for Arch, Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL (and CentOS/Fedora), SLES (and OpenSUSE), and FreeBSD. I only upload builds for amd64/x86_64 and arm64, but I can provide builds for other architectures upon request.

Via Package Manager

The easiest way to install and update is from a prebuilt package. I do not currently have the resources to host a repository outside of AUR, so for now download the packages from the releases page.

Pre-built plugins for checking common services can be downloaded here.

Debian and Ubuntu

The main package can be downloaded from releases. Then install with:

dpkg -i gogios-$(version).deb

The same method can be used for the plugins.

Arch

As mentioned, gogios is available via Arch's AUR as either gogios or gogios-bin. I recommend using an AUR helper such as yay to simplify the package management process. Using yay the installation process would be:

yay -S gogios or yay -S gogios-bin

The first package will compile the current master branch from source, while the second will install the most recent release version. I do my best to keep the master branch as stable as possible between versions, but bugs will be possible.

RHEL/CentOS/SLES/OpenSUSE

The main package can be downloaded from releases. Install with:

rpm -ivh gogios-$(version).rpm

The same method can be used for the plugins.
