As Americans, we are blessed to live in a nation that was founded on the fundamental truth that all men and women are created equal and are endowed with God-given rights that cannot be revoked. The free nations of the world look to America to champion our shared ideals, vulnerable nations depend on us to deter aggression from their neighbors, and oppressed citizens turn their eyes towards our shores in hopes of finding freedom.

We have a moral duty as the greatest power the world has ever known to safeguard the values of freedom, justice, and liberty. It is also in the best interest of our national security and economic prosperity to work to uphold the international order that has benefited us so much over the last seventy years.
