Getting Started
Applies to Mystical Realms Data-Pack 1.0.0-beta.6 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (pack format 48).
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 |
| Pack format | 48 |
| Loader | none needed — it is a plain vanilla-format datapack |
| Required mods | none |
The pack format itself does not depend on a loader. Some of its files use NeoForge's neoforge:false condition, so on a non-NeoForge loader those particular fixes simply will not apply; everything else still does.
- Take
Mystical_Realms_Data_Pack-1.0.0-beta.6.zip. - Put it in your world's
datapacksfolder:-
singleplayer —
saves/<world>/datapacks/ -
dedicated server —
world/datapacks/
-
singleplayer —
- Load the world, or run
/reload.
There is no datapack.json to write and nothing to enable. A datapack dropped into the folder is picked up automatically.
No configuration, no restart needed.
Yes, by design. Every file lives inside a mod's own namespace, so if that mod is not installed there is no file of its own for the override to replace — the override is simply dormant.
The recipe fixes go one step further: each stub carries a condition that discards it before its body is even read, and the stub bodies are deliberately valid anyway, so even a loader that ignores the condition would register a harmless recipe rather than error.
Worth being straight about: the pack's own validation is limited to parsing every JSON file at build time. There is no automated test of the "nothing installed" case.
Two of the fixes remove content rather than just silencing an error, and you should know before you install:
- 27 recipes stop existing — 26 Cataclysm Spellbooks recipes and 1 Just Enough Breeding recipe.
- 3 Reliquary "uncrafting" conversions stop existing. These let you turn a witch hat into redstone, glowstone dust or gunpowder at a large profit. With Equivalent Legacy installed, those show up as an EMC exploit warning on every boot.
- The Illager Structures monastery never generates, and any IDAS structure that uses the three corrected biome tags stops generating there.
Everything else is only an error message being silenced.
The whole point of the pack is that you do not need these:
- Ice and Fire
- Alex's Mobs
- Biomes You'll Go
- Biomes O' Plenty
- Curios API
It also does not need any of the mods it patches — the fixes only matter when those mods are present.
