Applies to Regalia Slots API 1.0.2 for Minecraft 1.21.1, and to 1.1.4 for 26.2.
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 (NeoForge) · 26.2 (NeoForge) |
| Loader | NeoForge only |
| Java | 21 |
| Required mods | none |
There is no Fabric build. NeoForge 21.1.249 or 26.2.0.57 or newer, depending on your branch.
Drop the JAR in mods/. It works on its own — you do not need Curios, and you do not need any
other accessory mod to see the GUI.
The slot screen is reachable from your player inventory. You do not need a keybind and there is no item that opens it.
If you do not see it, see Troubleshooting below.
By default you get 11 accessory slots, granted to every player-like entity:
back · belt · body · bracelet · charm · curio · feet · hands · head ·
necklace · ring
These are empty. Regalia Slots API does not decide which items belong in them — that is up to
the mods you install. A mod that adds a necklace declares it goes in the necklace slot, and from
then on it shows up there and nowhere else.
The eleven are a starting point, not a commitment. See Slots.
The mod contributes a couple of example items, reachable from the Creative menu. They exist so you can see the system working. That is the entirety of its content — no blocks, no recipes worth speaking of, no world generation.
Install it server-side, which is where the slot definitions actually live, and it will sync to clients. Installing client-side only works, but then each client decides its own slots, which is rarely what you want on a server.
Because slots can be granted to all player-like entities, this is a server-wide decision. A player cannot be given a slot their server does not have.
I cannot find the GUI. It is opened from the player inventory. If a mod has replaced or heavily modified your inventory screen, the button may not be there — that is a known integration edge rather than a config problem.
A slot is missing. Slots are made on demand. A slot with nothing that can go in it may not be created at all. If you expected a slot, check that you have a mod installed that declares an item for it. If you want it regardless, force it in Slots.
My Curios items do not show up. They should — that is what the compatibility layer is for. If they do not, see Curios Compatibility, which documents the limits.
Two mods both added a "ring" slot and I only see one. That is intended. Identical identifiers merge so there is one ring slot rather than two competing ones.
Remove the JAR. Slots are not stored as items, so nothing persists in your inventory and no world data needs cleaning. If a mod left an item in a Regalia slot, it returns to your inventory.
