Rebranding Guide

GenRaid Setup uses GenSteal as its core gameplay plugin. GenSteal is a name owned and reserved by CogSparks. You are expected to rebrand this setup with your own server identity before you launch to real players.

Rebranding is not optional. Continuing to publicly present this setup under the name GenSteal or GenRaid Setup, without permission, is not allowed.

Go through every item on this page before you open your server. Missing one of these is the most common reason a rebrand looks half finished.

GenSteal

Open the GenSteal config.yml file and replace the prefix value with your own server tag.

TAB

Open the TAB config.yml file and replace the header prefixes that currently reference GenSteal.

You can also edit the Discord link, server IP, and other displayed text inside TAB. Some of these are not in config.yml, they live in animations.yml instead. Look for the entries labeled link1, link2, and link3 and update those to your own Discord, website, and vote links.

DailyRewardPRO

Open the DailyRewardPRO configuration file and replace the prefix value the same way you did for GenSteal.

EssentialsDiscord and EssentialsX

Go to /plugins/EssentialsDiscord/messages and open the messages file. Replace the Discord link on line 21 with your own Discord invite link.

Checklist

Use this list to confirm you have not missed anything before launch.

  • GenSteal config.yml prefix updated
  • TAB config.yml header and footer updated
  • TAB animations.yml link1, link2, and link3 updated
  • DailyRewardPRO prefix updated
  • EssentialsDiscord messages file Discord link updated
  • Spawn signage (rules, welcome, tutorial panels) reviewed for any leftover branding, see Spawn Signage
  • FancyNpcs display names checked for leftover branding

If You Are Not Sure You Caught Everything

Search through your server's plugins folder for the exact text GenSteal, GenRaid, and CogSparks. Most text editors and file explorers support a folder-wide search. Anything that comes up outside of the GenSteal plugin's own internal files is worth a second look.
