Config Files

setup.sh creates the configuration files used by mnp, monerod and monero-wallet-rpc.

The files are stored in:

~/.config/mnp/

mnp.ini

Configuration used by mnp:

[rpc]
user = mnp
password = RPC_PASSWORD
host = 127.0.0.1
port = 18084

[mnp]

workdir = /tmp/mywallet

For compatibility with the current mnp binary, setup.sh creates:

~/.mnp.ini -> ~/.config/mnp/mnp.ini

monerod.conf

Configuration used by monerod.

Mainnet:

rpc-bind-ip=127.0.0.1

Stagenet:

stagenet=1
rpc-bind-ip=127.0.0.1

Testnet:

testnet=1
rpc-bind-ip=127.0.0.1

monero-wallet-rpc.conf

Example:

wallet-file=/home/user/Monero/wallets/mywallet

For a password-protected wallet, setup.sh also adds:

password-file=/home/user/.config/mnp/wallet.password

Transaction Notification

During setup:

Confirmations [0]:

The selected value controls the generated tx-notify command.

0 is the default and notifies when the transaction is detected in the txpool:

tx-notify=/usr/local/bin/mnp --notify-at 1 %s

One confirmation:

tx-notify=/usr/local/bin/mnp --notify-at 2 --confirmation 1 %s

Three confirmations:

tx-notify=/usr/local/bin/mnp --notify-at 2 --confirmation 3 %s

Changing monero-wallet-rpc.conf requires restarting monero-wallet-rpc:

./stop.sh
./start.sh

Password Files

RPC credentials are stored in:

~/.config/mnp/rpc.password

For password-protected wallets:

~/.config/mnp/wallet.password

The configuration directory and password files are created with restricted permissions.

~/.mnp.ini

The config file makes things easier. It is used by mnp.
