Transactions
mnp transactions lists transactions known to the configured Monero wallet.
The command uses monero-wallet-rpc and prints tab-separated output with a header so the result can be used both interactively and in shell scripts.
mnp transactions
Example output:
TYPE TXID AMOUNT CONFIRMATIONS HEIGHT LOCKED ADDRESS SUBADDR_INDEX
in dda29af17bc00660fff023a3d6ac18640b517f6be88dacb195ec3946d8c322c3 55555 2441 2202429 false 53xiXt... 0
out f7394463e64f695661481650257c287858c1d802a70effedc7f5ec2ce12f618e 55555 2441 2202429 false 5DfPYh... -
The output columns are:
Column | Description -- | -- TYPE | Transaction category such as in, out, pending, failed, or pool. TXID | Monero transaction ID. AMOUNT | Amount in atomic units. CONFIRMATIONS | Current number of confirmations. HEIGHT | Block height containing the transaction. LOCKED | true if the funds are still locked, otherwise false. ADDRESS | Receiving address for incoming transactions or destination address for outgoing transactions when available. SUBADDR_INDEX | Subaddress index for incoming transactions. Outgoing transactions use -.mnp transactions --in
mnp transactions --out
mnp transactions --pending
mnp transactions --failed
mnp transactions --pool
Multiple filters can be combined:
mnp transactions --in --pool
If no filter is specified, all supported transaction categories are requested.
An empty result still prints the header and exits successfully.
The output is tab-separated.
For a readable terminal table:
mnp transactions --in | column -t -s $'\t'
Because the output is TSV, standard Unix tools can be used directly.
Exact TXID lookup:
TXID="dda29af17bc00660fff023a3d6ac18640b517f6be88dacb195ec3946d8c322c3"
mnp transactions |
awk -F'\t' -v txid="$TXID" '$2 == txid'
A simple grep also works:
mnp transactions | grep -F "$TXID"
Show only TXID and address for incoming transactions received on subaddress index 0:
mnp transactions --in |
awk -F'\t' 'NR > 1 && $8 == 0 {print $2 "\t" $7}'
Keep the header:
mnp transactions --in |
awk -F'\t' '
NR == 1 {
print $2 "\t" $7
next
}
$8 == 0 {
print $2 "\t" $7
}
'
For outgoing transactions, mnp uses destination metadata from the wallet when available.
If the destination address is known:
out ... 55555 2441 2202429 false 5DfPYh... -
If the wallet no longer has destination metadata for an older outgoing transaction:
out ... 888888 261023 1943847 false - -
This avoids presenting the wallet's own address as if it were the transaction destination.
