Sprint 2

Deliverable Statement

Despite continued delays, this sprint I will be finishing infrastructure provisioning and connecting to my first peer, though this will likely happen later into the sprint than expected. I will also be setting up a DNS resolver once connected, which will allow me to use .dn42 DNS names on the network.

Due to holdups from the previous sprint, I will be switching to a virtualized router for the time being. I will then connect this to the internet with a public IP using VLANs and a virtual switch.

Outcomes

During this 3-week sprint, I did not accomplish the above objectives. I was blocked by getting a public IP, so while I was able to get other parts including the router production-ready (which I had already mostly prepared for by the end of Sprint 1), and to start on the DNS (as far as simply setting up the servers, not configuring DNS itself), I did not complete the major objectives of connecting to my first peer, including VPN and BGP setup.
