Sprint 3

Deliverable Statement

This sprint, I will finally be able to connect to the selected peers, using the fully set up infrastructure (including the production router, which is working and exposed). I will also attempt to complete some goals previously planned for Sprint 3 such as automating adding peers, despite having to wait until the end of Sprint 2 to get a start on any of the initial objectives.

Outcomes

During this sprint, I accomplished most of the objectives, connecting to DN42 and setting up DNS, which is all that is needed to easily browse and interact with DN42. I also set up a VPN for clients to connect into the network. Connecting took some time due to initial issues with multiprotocol BGP and incorrectly configured settings on the peer's side (my fault), but once it worked I was able to set up a DNS server which both acts as a recursive resolver for my own servers and clients, and as an authoritative DNS server for the domain champlain.dn42.
