The project's README is also translated into each of these languages.
- Open Settings › General › Basic Setup › Language.
- Choose Follow System (the default) or a language, shown in its own name.
- Click OK and reopen OWE (or click Restart Now). A new language takes effect the next time the app opens. The setup assistant's Welcome step offers the same choice.
You can also set the app's language in System Settings › General › Language & Region › Applications; the setting is the same one.
- The whole interface: menus, settings, sheets, alerts, help text.
- Wallpaper Engine's own labels (effect and property names from WE) use WE's translations from its UI strings, which come with the assets, in your language over English.
- Values that are stored or sent to Steam (tags, types, ratings) stay in English internally but are shown translated.
- A wallpaper's own title, description and property names are whatever the author wrote.
