Who made Open Wallpaper Engine, its licence, and its relationship to Wallpaper Engine.

Not affiliated

Important

Open Wallpaper Engine is an independent, open-source macOS app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Wallpaper Engine or its developers, or to Valve. "Wallpaper Engine" is the name of a commercial application sold on Steam (https://www.wallpaperengine.io).

  • Neither the repository nor the app contains any of Wallpaper Engine's files. The app takes the files scenes need from the user's own copy of Wallpaper Engine on Steam, or from an existing install the user chooses. See Wallpaper Engine assets.
  • The fonts keep their own licences; their licence files come with them.
  • Wallpapers belong to their Steam Workshop authors and are not part of this project.

The single place the project credits Wallpaper Engine is ATTRIBUTION.txt.

Licence

Open Wallpaper Engine is free software under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0), the same licence as the original project. See LICENSE.
