Use BRouter profiles inside Cruiser. This allows the use of modified BRouter profiles that can ignore certain road restrictions with a switch in Cruiser settings. Modified profiles (look for "ignore_barrier"): |

The mapping of Cruiser to BRouter profiles currently is:
Brouter profiles inside Cruiser /media/ folder can be seen in the image above. |
|
BRouter profiles with detailed settings are available inside Cruiser 3.0.20. And a new option to ignore road restrictions that are active now on the map. Please see above for the details! |

Question.
Which of the two does exactly what now ? |
|
I compared the Graphhopper curvy profile to the BRouter mopped profile=>almost similar results. Originally posted by @Leeb64 in #166 (comment). @Leeb64 thanks, your changes are very interesting! If there are more BRouter options that can be changed with the UI, I will add them to Cruiser. |

I am completely lost now how this all works together. When parameters in Cruiser are changed, which files in which folder on which drive (internal or SD drive) is updated and how this applies to the Brouter routing? And which files can be individually edited for example with this urban 30 thing to avoid bigger cities. And which speed I have to set in order to use small roads? In Germany the allowed speed is 100 km/h on main streets as well as secondary streets. |
|
The profiles that can be selected by the Cruiser are stored in main storage/Android/media/gr,talent/cruiser/brouter/profiles2. In the profile modified by me, small roads are taken at 50 km/h, but it also leads through towns. |

How about a "Open BRouter profile" dialog for the active profile? Then your BRouter profiles can be anywhere in the Android file system. |

Current Cruiser Brouter. |

How about something like this:
|
|
Organise tightly in a single location, don't wildly distribute everything. Place the Cruiser profiles2 folder in Android data or media where the maps graphs poi are present. The standard user.
The advanced user.
Match Menu and the corresponding 6 Cruiser specific profile brf names. Menu <=> Profile_Cruiser.brf

BRouter profiles in Cruiser should be simple for everyone:
|
|
BRouter The other Cruiser modes (Bike, Mountain bike, Walking, Hiking) use the original BRouter profiles. Also the "Settings | Routing | BRouter (offline) | Advanced | BRouter profile" displays the active BRouter profile |

Is it to be expected that the |
Probably no longer needed: Wanting to avoid ruthlessly avoiding highways (I don't like, I don't want, but sometimes I have to), I never decided to set the parameter Of course, the ability to choose your own .brf profile in the settings solves the problem and opens the way to further experiments 👍 |

Detailed avoidances with levels for the Cruiser modified driving BRouter profile are available in Cruiser 3.0.23. "Settings | Routes | BRouter (offline) | Car, Motorcycle". For more info, please see above: |

Is there (another) speed discrepancy issue with BRouter in this latest app update? Using the in-built Cruiser profile (no avoidances), I'm getting over 6hrs for a 175-mile "direct A-to-B" trip which GraphHopper, Google and my slightly tweaked BRouter (no_barrier) profile say is around 3hr10min (which it normally is +/- traffic etc). Online BRouter "car-fast" gives expected ~3hr route duration. I tried adjusting the Average+Max Speed settings to no effect. It seems as though Cruiser' internal BRouter Profile is expecting me to drive at 35mph for the entire journey?! |
|
This new BRouter function with the adjustable avoidances does not work correctly! |
|
This path is allowed for visitors to the farms. |

I am working on a new Cruiser driving profile based on BRouter car-vario.
I can release it soon. Do you find this roadmap ok? |
|
I played around with BRouter Web Client and this profile. I have changed this: I also changed the speeds of various roads: assign maxspeed_forward = assign maxspeed_backward = assign maxspeed_explicit = I think the result is not bad. |
|
I tried a lot... you have to try a lot. I haven't found any explanations yet... |

Im Punkt Routen - Dienst - BRouter ohne Offline nutzt den direkten Weg ohne Kurven und berechnet Online? In the item Routes - Service - BRouter without offline uses the direct route without curves and calculates online? |

To be able to use the different routing profiles if necessary, is it enough to install the BRouter and then simply change the profiles in the Cruiser, or do I still have to go into the data directories and change things there? Are the steps you see at the top still necessary? |

About the settings for the brouter profile: |

I like to use this profile for motorcycling: |

Ich komme mit den "moped" Einstellungen eigentlich gut zurecht. |

Hey there, I've added my .brf file to |
