More coherent interactive artifacts and review workflows

This release expands Visualize behavior guidance while tightening evidence and release decisions.

• Adds an interactive-state recipe for accessible tabs, forms, dialogs, feedback, focus, and truthful local behavior.
• Gives Artifact Explore and System Explore a shared comparison harness with candidate-scoped controls, frame-aware responsive behavior, and explicit selection boundaries.
• Reworks Animate around frequency, purpose, restraint, interruption, physical continuity, immediate state feedback, and reduced-motion behavior.
• Strengthens Review with explicit coverage states, exhaustive collection before ranking, a report-wide non-blocker cap, context-suppression audit trails, and deterministic grade/verdict precedence.
• Adds evidence tiers and prompt-injection boundaries to Teach so measured, derived, and inferred brand decisions remain distinguishable.

Verification and scope

Fresh independent agents exercised identity-authority conflicts, inner-frame responsive previews, accessible interaction behavior, reduced motion, high-frequency commands, finding caps, detector skips, and grade/verdict precedence. The complete local CI-equivalent suite and GitHub CI passed, including Linux validation and Windows Mermaid rendering.

This release publishes the canonical skill plus synchronized npm-skills, Hermes, and Pi/OpenClaw mirrors.

v0.6.0 – System Explore

Explore a project design system before adopting it

System Explore compares new or explicitly requested replacement project identities on representative content. Start with broad visual directions or a focused palette or typography question, without needing an existing layout.

• Preserve settled choices while comparing the next question, such as quieter secondary accents or a different type hierarchy.
• Review candidates in one HTML document at wide and phone widths, in light and dark modes.
• Keep artifact themes separate from project identity. Existing identities can be documented with teach; one-artifact comparisons still use Artifact Explore.
• Approve a complete system before reviewing the full DESIGN.md, PRODUCT.md, and tokens.css drafts. File writes require separate confirmation. Replacement preserves private backups and stops for manual repair after a partial failure.

Verification and scope

Fresh Codex agents exercised broad and focused comparisons, incumbent routing, artifact preservation, and confirmed adoption, including concurrent edits, backup collisions, and repair after an injected write failure. Local browser checks covered responsive rendering, theme precedence, contrast, and content preservation.

Acceptance used Codex and Chromium. Local font rendering depends on the host; remote font loading and other browsers were not qualified. The palette helper does not validate hex input, so those fixtures used rendered browser contrast checks. Strict Stitch validation was unavailable.

This release publishes the skill only. The website remains work in progress and is not deployed by this release.

v0.5.1 – Contextual color guidance

Color guidance that respects the brief

Visualize now explains color choices through character, semantic roles, hue relationships, and distribution. Refinement preserves approved palettes and meaningful chart categories instead of applying fixed hue counts or mandatory neutral tints.

• Allow red identities, achromatic surfaces, multiple accents, and context-appropriate hue combinations without blanket style refusals.
• Compare changes such as lower chroma versus less color coverage while keeping settled choices fixed.
• Remove palette and detector taste vetoes for purple/cyan combinations, atmospheric gradients, and warm-paper surfaces. Contrast, gamut, theme, and non-color meaning checks remain.
• Align Simplify, Polish, Review, typography, and chart guidance with the shared color procedure.
• Correct the documented palette-check argument order and include source attribution and licenses for adapted guidance.

Artifact themes and Artifact Explore from v0.5.0 remain available. System Explore remains planned and is not part of this release.

Validated with six fresh-agent artifact trials, palette regressions, fixture checks, and independent review.

Artifact themes and visual exploration

Visualize can now apply a reference design system to one artifact, or compare visual treatments before you choose.

• Apply a named theme directly. Use a reference such as Editorial for a report without first running an exploration. The agent applies design guidance and tokens together, including typography, spacing, surfaces, and component treatment.
• Explore structure, visual treatment, or both. Compare palette, typography, and other visual choices on a fixed layout, or compare different document structures. New artifacts do not need an existing layout or captured project profile.
• Keep project defaults and explicit exceptions separate. Project styling stays binding unless you authorize an artifact-specific override. Applying or selecting an artifact theme does not change project design files.
• Navigate every reference package. All 103 design systems now include a README with preview links, design guidance, tokens, and a theme usage example.

Scope

This release adds no new command, saved theme object, or token format. Project-wide capture and derivation remain in teach; explore system remains planned. The broader shared color-guidance revision is not part of this release.

Improves how visualize responds to design feedback and decides when refinement is complete.

• Distinguishes bounded corrections from changed requirements and unresolved structural choices.
• Routes reviews by the underlying problem instead of automatically prescribing simplification for low grades.
• Lets polish finish with few or no edits when rendered evidence supports it.
• Keeps shared brand and token changes outside artifact-refinement authority unless explicitly approved.
• Requires inspected responsive comparisons for Artifact Explore and preserves the approved brief and selection rationale.
• Documents the guiding principles and behavioral validation expectations in CONTRIBUTING.md.

Validated with three independent agents across polish convergence, mobile clipping, token repair, and unresolved reading-order scenarios. All distributed skill mounts are synchronized.

Adds portable image generation for artifacts that genuinely need generated imagery.

• Supports the characterized Codex MCP session bridge, authenticated Codex CLI bridge, and explicitly selected OpenAI and Gemini API routes.
• Makes one generation attempt with no automatic retry or provider fallback when the result is ambiguous.
• Accepts provider-native PNG or JPEG output, applies bounded format checks, and requires the active agent to inspect the image before use.
• Keeps generated assets as ordinary local files without receipts, provenance claims, or metadata sidecars.
• Adds documented staging, cleanup, billing-category, credential, and recovery behavior across the distributed skill mounts.
