Stats and practice

Every answer you give, in lessons and in the free drill, is tallied on your device. The Stats tab shows where you stand, and the same numbers decide which questions come up more often.

The Stats tab

  • Day streak: days in a row with at least one answer (and your best). It resets once a whole day is missed.
  • Best run: the most answers right in a row in one lesson or drill.
  • Right: how many of all your answers were right, and how many there have been.
  • The fretboard heatmap: every note you have been asked, colored red through amber to green.
    • How often right goes by your latest eight answers at that spot, so an old mistake fades once you have it.
    • How fast shows the average time to a right answer: green under two seconds, red six or more. Slow wrong answers and anything over 30 seconds (you looked away) are not timed.
    • Blank spots have not come up yet.
  • Notes to work on and Chords to work on: the five weakest of each, e.g. "D♯, high E string, fret 11 · 0 of the last 2 right".

Stats are kept per tuning, since fret 3 on the low string is a different note in drop D. If you have answers in more than one tuning (lessons always use standard tuning, even when your drill tuning is something else), a menu picks which to show.

Practice weak spots more

On by default (Settings → Practice). Within whatever a lesson or drill covers, each spot is weighted:

Weight
Answered right, quickly and recently 1
Missed in your latest eight answers up to 5 more
Slow (two seconds, up to six or more) up to 1.5 more
Not asked for a while (up to a week) up to 1.5 more
Never asked 2

The lesson's range never changes, only the odds. The weights are read live, so a note you just missed comes back sooner in the same run. Turn it off for evenly random questions.

Resetting

Settings → Reset stats clears the heatmap, the streaks and the weak‑spot weights. Reset progress is separate and only clears the learning paths. Both ask first.
