In this workshop, we will explore what's available open source to support developers in connecting their applications via the new Data Plane Signaling protocol, and try out the Siglet hands-on as one way of doing so.
- Ronja Quensel Software Developer, Fraunhofer ISST
- Java 17+
- Docker
- KinD
- kubectl
- Helm (for Traefik installation)
- a POSIX compliant shell (bash, zsh, ...)
- Node.js/npm (for running npx/the Bruno CLI)
- Bruno
- [optional] a Kubernetes monitoring tool like k9s or Lens
If you are planning to use a Windows laptop for participating in the Workshop, using a Linux VM or WSL is highly recommended.
In this workshop, you will...
- run an end-to-end data transfer using a Tractus-X EDC control plane with Data Plane Signaling support and the Siglet
- connect different backend applications using a single Siglet instance
- learn what is required to integrate your application with the Siglet
