Welcome to Sprint Boost.
Sprint Boost provides a way to customize the experience of running Intellivision games on Sprint Console with a configuration driven approach. You can start with defaults, then add only the options you care about. To learn more see 00 Sprint Boost Explained
I created Sprint Boost to provide capabilities to the Sprint experience that appeal to me. I am offering this to the community in hopes that others can get some joy from it as well. It should be considered at best, beta level, and assuredly has bugs and quirks.
Be aware, Sprint Boost is installed on Sprint Console and replaces the default Sprint jzintv emulator entry with a highly customized version.
The original Sprint emulator is not removed. During install, it is "renamed" to jzintv_sprint and remains available as an option.
You should have:
- A Sprint Console
- A sideload USB drive for updating Sprint and sideloading game files
- Sprint Boost Quick Start .zip
Also, you need to be comfortable with idea of replacing the stock emulator on your Sprint with this custom one.
- Download and extract the Quick Start.zip from (https://github.com/evets17/sprint_boost_pub/releases/latest)
- Perform Sprint's update process using the Quick Start's update.zip to load Sprint Boost onto your console.
- Add the Quick Start's
boostedfolder to your sideload USB drive to see working examples immediately. - Learn how configuration files are found and merged.
- Explore Sprint Boost Studio once you’re ready for advanced customization.
