Station Manager
The Station Manager is the plugin's own web page for everything to do with stations: the lists, their names and logos, backups, CSV files, the antenna tools and plugin updates.
- From Volumio: Plugins > Installed Plugins > FM/DAB Radio > Settings > Radio Station Management, then Open in New Tab or Open in Current Window.
- Directly:
http://<player address>:3456in any browser on your network, for examplehttp://192.168.1.50:3456orhttp://volumio.local:3456.
The buttons in the settings use the player's .local name. Where such names do not resolve (some routers, some phones, the Volumio app), enter the player's IP address under Radio Station Management Configuration > Hostname/IP Override: the address only, without http:// and without a port.
The page follows Volumio's language setting. It has no login: it is meant for use inside your home network, like the player itself.

Above each list, cards show the number of stations, of favourites, of hidden stations and of stations without a logo. A press on the No logo card shows only those. A search field filters the list as you type.
Each row is one station:
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Logo | Shows the station's logo, or an empty frame. A press opens the logo dialog; see Station Logos. |
| Name | The name shown in Volumio. Type a name of your own to replace it. |
| Frequency | Under the name of an FM station. A press opens the tune dialog; see Tuning an FM station. |
| Signal | On the station that is playing: its reception level, from 1 to 5. |
| Star | Marks the station as a favourite; favourites are listed under Favorites in Volumio. |
| Eye | Hides the station from Volumio's lists without deleting it. |
| Bin | Moves the station to the Recycle Bin. |
| Disk | Saves the changes made to this row. |
Changes are marked and saved when you say so: with the disk button on the changed row, with Save (n) above the list, or with the save bar at the bottom of the page, which saves everything changed.
Above the lists:
- Rescan FM / Rescan DAB start a scan and show its progress. What a rescan keeps, adds and removes is described under Scanning. Rescan FM first asks which kind of scan to run, fast or detailed; the kind last used is offered, and the one you choose becomes the FM Scan setting.

- Clear All FM / Clear All DAB move every station of the list to the Recycle Bin, after confirmation.
A press on the frequency of an FM station opens the tune dialog. It is for a station the list has one channel off, for an entry on a frequency that holds nothing, and for trying the channels next to a weak station.

- The arrows go one channel down or up on your region's raster and play that frequency at once. A frequency typed into the field is played with Listen or the Enter key. While a frequency plays, the line under it shows the reception as the player reads it.
- Find best looks at the channel the dialog is on and five channels either side, which takes a few seconds, and lists what a scan would say of each. Frequencies that other stations of your list hold are shown with their names. The nearest station that no other entry of your list holds is marked Best. A press on a row plays that frequency. A station that is playing through the dongle is stopped for the look; the dialog asks first, once.
- Keep gives the station the frequency the dialog is on, and saves that at once. Its name, logo, favourite mark and play count stay with it, and the items of Volumio's queue that are this station follow it. If another station of the list holds that frequency, the dialog asks which of the two stays: the one being tuned (the other is then removed from the list) or the other (the one being tuned then goes to the Recycle Bin).
- Cancel closes the dialog and changes nothing.
- Delete station moves the station to the Recycle Bin, as the bin button of its row does.
What the list of channels can say:
| It says | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A station | A stereo pilot stands out from the noise by what your FM Scan Sensitivity asks, and the checks of a scan are passed. |
| A station without a stereo pilot | No pilot, and a carrier that stands clear of the noise and carries a programme: a mono station. |
| The station of the channel next to it | The channel passes for a station, and the one beside it shows the same station better. |
| Spill of a far stronger station | A faint pilot beside a far stronger station, which is that station's. |
| Covered by a stronger channel next to it | A channel right beside a far stronger one. It is not listened to; a station there could not be told from its neighbour. |
| A carrier, off the channel | Something is received, centred well off this channel: usually the station of a neighbouring channel. |
| Made in the tuner, not a station | The reading does not hold when the gain is lowered: a product of an overloaded tuner. |
| The tuner's mirror of another station | The reading does not hold when the tuner is set elsewhere: an E4000 tuner's copy of a stronger station. |
| Nothing | No pilot and no clear carrier. |
The reception column gives the reading each channel is judged by, in dB, and for a station its level in dots as on the player. How a scan judges a channel is described under Scanning.
Listening goes through Volumio's own queue: the frequency is played as an item at the end of it, with the gain and the sound of any station, and is not counted as a play. When the dialog closes, that item is removed and the player goes back to the item it was on, playing it again if it was playing.
A station the scan does not find (a mono FM station that was silent during the scan, a station too weak on the day) can be added through a CSV import with the Extend operation.
The DAB list works the same way:

Deleted stations are kept here until purged. Restore puts a station back in its list; Purge removes it for good; Empty Recycle Bin purges them all. A deleted station that a later scan finds again is flagged as available again and stays deleted until you restore it.

| Section | For | Details |

| Create Backup, Restore, Upload Backup, Backup History | Saving and restoring stations, settings and the block list | Backup and Restore |
| Import / Export Stations | CSV files | CSV Import and Export |
| Station Logos | How many stations have a logo; fetching them again | Station Logos |
| Plugin Update | The installed version, the update channel, installing and going back | Updating the Plugin |
| Song Recognition | On or off (off keeps the token), the AudD token and when to ask, the same setting as on the plugin's settings page; the eye beside the field shows the token; whether the token works, the last song recognised, how many questions were asked | Artwork and Metadata |
| Dongle Report | The plugin's measurements on the dongle that is plugged in, as one file to send | Dongle Report |

One phrase per line. Text from a station that matches a phrase is not looked up as a song. See Artwork and Metadata.
Scans, antenna tools and the dongle report need the dongle. A scan started while a station plays asks in Volumio whether to stop the station first; an antenna tool stops it, and the dongle report asks on the page before it does. A scan shows its progress as a percentage; the station that is playing is marked in its list.
