Releases: RunWield/runwield

v0.14.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Oct 20:06

What's New

  • Code Review now produces consistent diffs even when your Git settings use custom prefixes, relative paths, colors, or external diff tools.
  • Plans retain their existing identity when a saved draft omits it, so you can resume planning without a conflicting Plan ID.

Detailed Changelog

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Review diffs use stable file paths and headers instead of user-specific Git formatting or external diff commands.
  • A nonempty review diff with unreadable file entries stops approval instead of being treated as an empty change.
  • Planning reuses the registered Plan identity when it is missing from the document. Conflicting identities stop the operation without changing your files.

Changes are cumulative from v0.14.1.

v0.14.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Oct 13:47

What's New

  • Discuss code changes with the Reviewer Feedback Engineer during Code Review. Ask questions without requesting an edit, or send selected annotations, attachments, and edit suggestions for a revision.
  • RunWield now stops repeated tool loops and limits each request to 100 model turns. Your Session stays saved so you can continue with a new instruction. Thank you! @adongu
  • Continue Epic planning with your latest local Plan edits, including new child Plans, when working on the target branch.

Detailed Changelog

New Features

  • Code Review chat can answer questions without changing the patch. When a revision changes code, the review reloads the current diff.
  • Choose which annotation, attachment, and edit-suggestion groups to send with a review message. Unsent feedback stays queued.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Restore fresh installations of the Mnemoteca helper after its repository moved to the RunWield organization.
  • Keep viewed-file progress and review guidance when a chat reply leaves the patch unchanged.
  • Stop repeated tool calls and repeating tool cycles instead of letting them run without a limit.
  • Use current local Plan documents during Epic planning, without copying local source-code edits into the planning worktree.
  • Report missing or duplicate child order values before automatic Epic continuation selects the next child.
  • Read Plan catalog evidence without fetching remote branches.
  • Keep browser review jobs on the running RunWield executable instead of selecting a different installed version.
  • Give Plan and artifact reading panels the full available space.

v0.14.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Oct 21:55

RunWield v0.14.0 — open source under MIT

RunWield Core is now open source under the MIT license. The CLI, TUI, personal browser Workspace, ACP server, and self-hosted encrypted Plan review remain free forever. Model-provider usage charges are separate.

New home and skills installation

  • The main repository is now RunWield/runwield. Existing GitHub repository URLs redirect to the new organization.
  • Portable Guide, Ideator, and Review skills now live in RunWield/skills, so installation no longer clones the main repository.
  • Existing skills users should reinstall from the new source using the same agents and scope: npx skills@latest add RunWield/skills. Add -g for an existing global installation. Saved update sources do not switch automatically.

Improvements since v0.12.4

  • Plan review is conversational: questions and feedback can receive replies without forcing a Plan revision. Review input queues with the next message, and approval stays distinct from conversation activity.
  • Standalone Code Review can run AI review and turn findings into review annotations while preserving the owner's edits.
  • /export includes the complete committed Session across transcript segments as JSON or self-contained HTML. /share publishes both formats to a secret GitHub Gist. Anyone with the Gist link can read the exported conversation, including recorded thinking and tool output.
  • Compatible ACP clients can send mid-turn corrections through the advertised _session/steering extension; this is an extension, not a standard ACP v1 method.
  • Shell command wrapping through Snip is more conservative, and invalid review targets report errors without crashing.
  • Packaging, documentation publication, skills synchronization, and TypeScript tooling received maintenance improvements.

License and availability

MIT applies to this release and the v0.14 release line. Earlier versions retain their tagged licenses; bundled third-party components retain their own terms and notices. The complete personal workflow stays in Core.

This release publishes Linux and macOS builds for x64 and ARM64. New Windows packages and WinGet publication remain paused; older Windows assets remain at their original tags.

v0.12.3

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Oct 00:28

⚠️Breaking⚠️

Project commands now require confirmation when run from your home folder, a filesystem root, or a recognized system folder. For non-interactive use in one of these folders, put --allow-system-directory before the command: wld --allow-system-directory <command>. Normal project folders do not need this option.

What's New

  • Answer Plan Questions directly in browser Plan review, with yes/no, text, and multiple-choice controls.
  • Get a warning before you start project work in a home or system folder, in both the CLI and Workspace.
  • The terminal no longer checks your clipboard while idle. Press Ctrl+V to paste an image; if none is available, RunWield shows a clear notice.
  • Resume child planning after an Epic branch history rewrite while preserving compatible saved planning edits.

Detailed Changelog

New Features

  • Browser Plan review shows questions beside the relevant content and includes your answers in the review decision.
  • CLI startup and Workspace Project linking or relinking ask for consent before using home or system folders.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Plan Review opens in Wide mode unless you saved another width. Front matter is hidden until you show it, and document actions sit above the title on phones.
  • Workspace Project actions show request failures and restore controls so you can retry.
  • Windows Project registration and relinking keep directory identity consistent so the Dashboard can load registered Projects.
  • Code Review file access uses stronger checks to prevent reads outside the selected project.
  • Child planning recovers from rewritten Epic history and stops with a clear message when saved edits conflict.
  • Terminal image paste no longer runs background clipboard checks or updates a closed Session after a paste finishes.
  • Saved work with staged file deletions or renames no longer fails because a removed path cannot be staged again.

Breaking Changes

  • Non-interactive project commands in home or system folders now require the leading --allow-system-directory acknowledgement.
