SHAPES - French Correction 01 - #406

@jeromefc50, thank you, this is a big help. I went through your corrections: These four are changed and come with the next release: Printemps → Ressort, Équipement → Engrenage, Grenier → Lissage, Tube plié → Tube courbé. The herringbone gear is now "Engrenage à chevrons", and the French guide uses the same words. Some I would like to ask you about:
Three more I noticed: "Moleter" (a verb) could be "Moletage", "Ellipses" could be "Ellipse", and "Coeur" could be "Cœur". Do you agree? If you like, you can also send further changes as a pull request on |

nut.
- *"Filetage" is more simply for resume*
- Wedge is a triangular prism, like a ramp. Would "Prisme triangulaire"
be better than "Triangle", which sounds flat?

- Box and Rounded Box are rarely a cube, and a rectangle is flat. Would
"Pavé" and "Pavé arrondi" fit, or is "Boîte" what French makers say?
- *"Boîte" is regular name*
- I would keep "Queue d'aronde" for Dovetail, as it is the real name of
that joint, and "Balise d'icône" for the icon tag, as it takes SVG, PNG and
JPG, not only SVG.
- *Dovetail is "Prisme trapézoïdal" for the form and for icon tag can
be "Bouton d'icone"*
Three more I noticed:

From your answers I changed: the thread tile to "Filetage / Vis / Écrou", Wedge to "Prisme triangulaire", "Ellipses" to "Ellipse", "Coeur" to "Cœur", "Moleter" to "Moletage" and Torus to "Anneau". Box and Rounded Box stay "Boîte" and "Boîte arrondie". While looking I found that Thread was called "Sujet" and Nut "Noix" in French; they are "Filetage" and "Écrou" now, also in the guide, and the label "Type" of the thread settings, which said "Tapez", is "Type". This comes with the next release. Some points where I would like your view:

- *Knurl* is a shape of its own, not an effect for a face: it is a round
handle with grooves, which you insert from the shape library under
mechanics. So "Moletage" is its name.
- *it's better to write "Tube moleté" because this is the form and not
an effect to place on the surface*
- *Dovetail:* "Queue d'aronde" is how French makers call the joint, and
this shape is the tail of it; "Prisme trapézoïdal" describes only its
profile. Would you keep "Queue d'aronde"?
- *I would put the trapezium shape in this box because the suggested
"Dovetail" is only used by joiners and is of little use to 3D printers

- *Icon tag:* the Name tag is "Étiquette de nom" in French, so
"Étiquette d'icône" would match it, and "Bouton" sounds like a button on

@jeromefc50, thank you, I take these: Prisme trapézoïdal for the dovetail (the search still finds "queue d'aronde"), Badge nominatif for the name tag and Badge d'icône for the icon tag, Goutte d'eau for the teardrop hole, and "Croissant" stays. For the knurl I would write Cylindre moleté rather than "tube", as it is a solid grip and not hollow; tell me if you still prefer "tube". This comes with the next release. About the wedge: the triangle you would start from is there already: the Polygon with three sides is an equilateral triangle. The wedge is the other one, a right triangle like a ramp, and that is why it is called a wedge. Both are prisms, of course, as everything here is a body. |

The old words still find the shapes in the command search. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart. Tell me if anything still reads wrong; the text of the guide still says "balise" and "étiquette" in places, and a small pull request for that is welcome. |

@medmed58, thank you, the picture helps a lot. Some of your words I like and would take: "Trou lamé", "Trou fraisé" and "Trou doublement fraisé" for the three screw-head holes, which really are holes, "Tube cintré" for the bent tube, and "Demi-cylindre" for the round roof. Others differ from what @jeromefc50 and I settled on in the last days, so I would like both of you to look at them: "Boîte" or "Cube" for the Box (the shape is seldom a cube), "Prisme triangulaire" or "Coin" for the Wedge, "Ellipse" or "Cylindre elliptique", and "Tige filetée" or "Filetage" for the thread. Which of these do French makers say? If you can agree on them, I will change them. |

@medmed58, your names are in 1.86.0: "Trou lamé", "Trou fraisé", "Trou doublement fraisé", "Tube cintré" and "Demi-cylindre". The stroke was called "Accident vasculaire cérébral" by mistake; it is "Trait" now.
